It was an amazing experience being there. Stunning view to Etna, tasty local food and lovely owners. Definitely worth visiting and we hope to come here again!

Aloha Mare

11/05/2024: When we want to touch the sea with a finger, then we go to Aloha Mare in Santa Teresa di Riva. The friendliness of "Patron" Carlo welcomes us with stories about the fish that is offered here. Gourmet dishes based on strictly local raw materials, from the Ionian Coast to Porto Palo. The sensorial tasting of "Crudo e Marinato" is important, in a large oval plate a review of the seabed of "Mare Nostrum". In addition to shellfish, we were surprised by the delicate taste of bonito and small seabream. Another proposal that winks, "Spaghetti with Sea Urchins" from Syracuse served in their best period, Spring. The waitress parades with two serving dishes, a rich "Risotto Frutti di Mare" desirable, but that will be for another time. We turn the page and choose the Dessert (all made in Aloha), today we go for "Gelato with Bronte Pistachio, chopped Almonds" drowned in a hot Espresso Coffee, delicious and perhaps unobtainable elsewhere. Careful service and good drinking, for us "Etna Bianco" from Pietradolce in Solicchiata. The opportunity has come to greet us too with Aloha!
