Great restaurant in the Giudecca island, nice service, very good food and.ambiance. We dined on New Year’s Eve, they offered a tasting menu with wine pairing, great selection of wines and dishes, My only con is the different courses were just served without any explanation of the dish, very much expected from such an expensive special event.

Il ristorante un po meno impegnativo dell'hilton, vuole osare e quasi ci riesce. Location volutamente non impostata ma comunque fine, come la mise en place. Provato il menu degustazione di pesce che sicuramente colpisce ma non emoziona; materie prime di qualità. Il servizio fa il suo dovere senza però eccellere in empatia e precisione. Conto sicuramente importante ma in linea con la cara Venezia.

26/05/2024: So, all good.... From raw to cooked…. You can look at the menu or eat what they recommend by trusting the "oven menu"... and maybe YOU'RE WORTH IT!! …. Bring that maybe you are not interested but you trust what is proposed to you, which I repeat is all very good but..... AFTER you get the bill of €260 for 2 people. In short …. The receipt does not specify how much things cost, a receipt is made with the total and that's it and if you don't look at the menu you don't expect it... Franz's tavern, ancient customs house, from Valentino to the lido, to the gato nero, wines from Gigio, from Nane Pellestrina, Antica Mola, all places where you can eat very well and spend less... it's not worth it, just for the "NAME" to pay this amount.... I remember once it cost €80/90 per person... I agree that prices change for everyone, but in my opinion they have changed a bit too much!!! We chose the "oven menu" with a bottle of wine and a bottle of water... To start with they bring you the usual mixed house starter: mini toasts with ham and cheese (which has nothing to do with fish) battered courgette flowers with anchovies and 2 braids of fried calamari... Then comes the raw appetizer, a normal dish with 2 scampi, 2 red prawns, and 3 mini tartares of: tuna, sea bass and swordfish Plus oysters of your choice (6 in this case) Then come the cooked dishes: Polentina with prawns, prawns with raw castraure and crab segola… We continue with the first ones: tagliolini with clams and botarga, and tagliolini with prawns and asparagus… Then they bring you strawberries with cream and finally the soufflé made by them with coffee... I repeat, everything is very good, but it dismembers me at €130 per person...

15/04/2024: We stumbled across this storefront and recognized it from the Netflix series Somebody Feed Phil. Our son was excited to find somewhere that Phil ate in Venice, and we were thrilled to see so many fresh and delicious looking (lightly fried) treats. We has both bacalao and artichokes with the staple polenta (acqua e mis) and chatted with the young man working at the window. This would be a wonderful place to stop should you want to sit and watch the boats go by on the canals. We scoffed our treats immediately!

Baccalà mantecato e calamaro ripieno davvero ottimi Personale gentile e servizio veloce Street food ideale da asporto o per un boccone da mangiare passeggiando, ma se si prendono due piatti e anche da bere è una bella impresa, quasi impossibile, perché non c’è nessun banco/tavolino per posare piattini e bicchiere
