Crotto Montepiatto In Torno

Each place has a unique atmosphere. What you breathe at Crotto di Montepiatto makes you feel at home. The Crotto can only be reached on foot in about 1 hour starting from Torno, about 500 meters away. of altitude difference. It is a "romantic" crotto, with green window frames, in the center of an oasis of peace, the Isolabella area. The menu, carefully designed and with the right portions, is prepared with quality and "1 km" raw materials. The panna cotta with blueberries and rosemary is original. The guys are very kind and helpful, spontaneous without forcing.

Non avevamo prenotato, ma avendo sbagliato strada, non riuscivamo più ad arrivare in tempo all'altro Crotto. Abbiamo chiesto e pur essendo al completo, molto gentilmente si son dati da fare per farci mangiare in più di 10 persone. E ci sono riusciti benissimo! Ottimi i Pizzoccheri e la Polenta, molto buoni anche gli altri piatti di carne, buon vino, piacevolissimi i dolci. Bello il locale, semplice ma caratteristico, in giardino si è stati benissimo, servizio cordiale e ben fatto. Sì, forse, come ho visto da altre recensioni, porzioni e prezzi sono aspetti un po' negativi, ma dobbiamo anche contare che lì non ci si arriva semplicemente e i costi di gestione, per rifornimenti e manutenzione, sono alti. Comunque ci siamo trovati molto molto bene, da tenere in considerazione per altre escursioni nella zona.

We walked up from Torno with our 3.5 year old (impressed that we made it!), and the restaurant was beyond our expectations. We ordered the antipasto board and the gnocchi, followed by the mind-blowing affogatto with liquor and a version with blueberries for our child. The staff were so kind and patient and translated the menu for us. This walk and restaurant were a massive highlight for our 5 day visit in Lake Como.

Very good restaurant. The owners are unparalleled kindness. The service is top notch, in a friendly atmosphere. Don’t hesitate to ask them for advice on the surrounding area, they will be happy to share their knowledge of the region. I recommend.

Très bon restaurant avec un service qui ne fait plus. Pour boire une bière en fin de randonnée je ne peux pas penser à un meilleur endroit, ils vous aideront pour trouver la prochaine !

Cibo ottimo, i pizzoccheri ottimi e non unti, le costine si scioglievano in bocca e consiglio la panna cotta

Il borgo di Montepiatto è molto gradevole, così come è molto gradevole il crotto. Noi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di mangiare all'esterno, dove siamo stati proprio bene. Il locale è piuttosto spartano, con stoviglie usa e getta e tavoloni con panche. La cucina è molto buona. Noi abbiamo preso dei pizzoccheri (ottimi), delle costine cotte a bassa temperatura con patate (fantastiche), uno spezzatino con polenta (buono) ed una torta (buona). Il servizio è premuroso ed amichevole, anche se non particolarmente professionale. L'unico appunto al crotto è che, data la tipologia del locale, magari un paio di euro in meno a piatto potevano anche starci. In ogni caso, una bella esperienza ed un la trattoria da consigliare certamente
