Authentic upscale restaurant where you see many beautifully dressed locals enjoying a really good quality food. Pasta and semifreddo is a must try for everyone.

I was initially afraid that I would end up in some kind of tourist trap, but that was not the case. Very nice service and delicious eggplant rolls with spicy tomato sauce, ravioli filled with rabbit and scaloppina. Great night

Impeccable service, fantastic food!

We were extremely lucky to find a table during the weekend even off-season but this is only a testimony of the fine quality of the experience. The food is simply amazing and the staff is friendly and fun:) Also the place feels very cozy!!

Fabulous dinner in a 75 year old family run restaurant. Everything was wondedful - cold cut appetizers, pastas and veal scallopine. All from scratch. And the bread with small batch olive oil is not to be missed. Accompanied by a fine selection of wines. Wrapped up with complimentary limoncello and grappa at g to be end of the meal. Great quality, good portions and reasonable prices. What made the experience so good was the character of the indoor dining space lined by walls of wine bottles and the service. Ricardo (son) and the service team made the evening…with the proprietor (dad) always overseeing. Look forward to returning when in Bologna again!

Very long wait between starter and main course. We had been forgotten... We accept people according to what they seem to be "customer-driven" criteria. Any al ragù sauce. Glass of champagne without bubbles: bottle opened for weeks? Finally, it is unpleasant to see the patriarch at the entrance counting his money based on the tickets brought to him by his waiters. This is a complete lack of correction and education.

I absolutely loved everything about the lunch I had here. From the delicious spaghetti, to the amazing and friendly service shown by the wait staff. If you have the chance to go here I would absolutely recommend 100%! The only slight issue is we actually tried to make a dinner reservation first a week before we arrived but nobody answered the phone. By the time we got there to make a reservation in person there was no availability for dinner.

This is by far the best restaurant in Bologna! The family run restaurant has been family operated for generations and who can still be seen sitting in the restaurant. The food is fantastic and so is the dedicated servers that makes you feel like you are part of the family. Home made pastas, sauces, and incredible desserts, that change daily, combined with locally sourced cheeses, wines and ingredients are only matched by the charm and ambiance of the restaurant to produce a fantastic and authentic dinning experience at a very reasonable price. I, myself, made the trip to Bologna before traveling home just to dine here and I am planning a stop again in Bologna to dine here again. Thank you to the whole family at Cesari for making me feel like family!

Locale storico dalla cucina tipica locale con anche proposte per vegetariani. Piatti ben cucinati e saporiti. La stagione proponeva anche il tartufo marzolino che sulla faraona e patate è stato uno spettacolo. Ottima lista dei vini, ovviamente non mancano quelli della cantina di famiglia, dall'omonima etichetta. In centro storico, su due piani, tavoli un pò vicini. Servizio veloce e simpatico. Ottima cena di coppia.

Sono venuto a pranzo qui con dei colleghi e perché volevamo provare più cose decidiamo di prendere un po’ di cose miste e poi provarle facendole girare. Come antipasti prendiamo la pancetta cotta a bassa temperatura, molto buona, ricordava molto la porchetta, un tortino di carciofi e un tortino di zucca, quest’ultimo anche buono, come primi prendiamo una gramigna, una tagliatella, dei tortellini in brodo e dei ravioli di zucca, tra tutti devi dire che i tortellini sono quelli che mi sono piaciuti di più anche se il sapore di parmigiano forse era un po forte per me, quelli di zucca buoni ma un po’ troppi semplici, gramigna particolare ma non mi ha convinto così come le tagliatelle, buona la pasta ma ragù poco incisivo, di secondo prendiamo le scaloppine alla bolognese, buonissima la cremina ma questa rivisitazione della cotoletta non mi ha fatto impazzire, dolci prendiamo un misto ed un sorbetto alla zucca, e quest’ultimo è stato quello che ho preferito. Posto in pieno centro e location molto bella e storica, personale e servizio molto accoglienti e cordiali ma qualità devo dire da 3.5 stelle anche perché se devo pensare anche al costo pagato allora sicuramente incide anche questo, antipasti 15€, un tortino di zucca, e quell’altro 16€, cioè costavano più dei primi che venivano €13 o 16 i tortellini… poi questa scaloppina piccola €19, cioè per me buono ok ma direi molto esagerato con i costi anche perché non sono rimasto così soddisfatto alla fine dei piatti in generale
