True Japanese cuisine in Perugia, the lady is very kind and the dishes are delicious.

Genuine Japanese cuisine, excellent and recommended! As soon as you enter the restaurant you can smell delicious aromas that envelop and inspire you. The menu offers the right variety of dishes and is not excessive, with some off-menu proposals of the day. You might want to try them all, but this invites you to come back several times. The lady in the room was very kind and ready to explain, even taking turns with the orders from the other tables. The dishes are exquisite and at the same time with strong but delicate flavours. c First appointment with soboro-don, soba and Japanese meatballs, to finish with mochi (with cherry blossoms!!) and kasutera. Definitely low prices.

Highly recommended! Discovered thanks to the Kenta Guide, I decided to verify the actual goodness of his dishes. Exceptional food! A true Japanese cousin, whatever you choose to eat will be excellent and not pre-packaged and ready frozen like in oriental restaurants. They don't do sushi! But the menu is vast and there is also a daily off-menu. I recommend the Japanese eel which on the palate has the consistency of a blue fish but fatter, it is soft and melts in the mouth. I still dream about it at night 😂. The sake is of high quality and is not served hot like in common oriental restaurants, it costs a little more than usual but it's worth it if you want to taste something really good and valid, of which they also have a wide choice and will explain everything to help you choose what you might like the most. Maybe don't expect it yourself, it's hard to finish! The staff is friendly, fast, helpful and the restaurant is spotless. It's larger than it appears in the photos, but nevertheless it's unlikely they have room so call ahead to book. The only flaw of the restaurant are the tables that are so close together and therefore do not allow for great intimacy in conversation and there is no music so you will eat in absolute silence and perhaps a little embarrassing. When we called to book I was asked in advance if I was allergic to anything and I really appreciated that. Luckily my allergies are few and they weren't on the menu, with celiac people I can't tell you how they manage, but there is certainly interest and attention. We took eel, meatballs, soba, lotus flower root (which have a mushroom-like taste and a harder consistency), 6 mochi, very good Japanese beer and sake. I will definitely be back! Attached is the eel, sake and mochi (the best one is the one with flowers in my personal opinion). At least once in your life you have to go and eat here.

Cucina tipica giapponese nel cuore di Perugia. Piatti casalinghi e dai sapori autentici. Il ristorante è gestito da una coppia giapponese, il marito in cucina e lei in sala. La signora molto simpatica e gentile. A fine pasto ci ha anche offerto il sakè alla prugna. Prezzi ottimi, in due con un primo, un secondo e un dolce a testa abbiamo speso meno di 50 euro. Super consigliato se volete essere trasportati in Asia 💖

Quando vivevo a Perugia era il mio ristorante preferito!

Dev'essere dura proporre la cucina familiare nipponica "circondati" da tanti finti giapponesi all you can eat. Faccio i miei complimenti allo staff per l'ottimo pranzo, l'atmosfera è stata davvero speciale. Ottime le proposte VEG, non vedo l'ora di tornare per provare gli altri piatti, in modo particolare l'anguilla. Sorprendenti le melanzane e la radice di fiore di loto! La signora in sala è premurosa, una personalità forte. Il locale è semplice, in certi punti un pochino trascurato ma niente che possa turbare chi cerca questo tipo di esperienza autentica. I prezzi onestissimi sono un motivo in più a tornare. Consiglio di prenotare e comunicare esigenze alimentari e/o allergie.
