Small restaurant in terms of space but really great in terms of quality of food, preparation and service. In the center of Varenna, this restaurant always gives us great experiences. Few seats, booking is recommended.

Well prepared food. Very generous doses. The staff doesn't really like to speak English but we can all understand each other there. The restaurant is small and can get noisy.

Small restaurant in the narrow streets of Varenna. We were lucky and got a table inside at 12 p.m. without a reservation. At 12 p.m. people were already lining up. There is room for about 12 outside in the alley and about 12 people fit inside.

Nothing to complain about this place, the kindness of all the staff towards us and the attention they had for our child allergic to gluten made the difference. Good quality food and I would even say fresh. Prices in line with all the other restaurants in the area. Compliments

Excellent! A Gem! Avoid the tourist traps on the water, go here for a lovely authentic meal in beautiful Varenna. We had lunch. Absolutely delicious with some very friendly on point service. Their pastas are fresh & to die for!!

The food was absolutely exceptional! Make sure to make reservations because this place is always packed. My husband and I did not get dessert and that decision will forever make us sad. I will come back to lake como just for this restaurant

Charming, best restaurant in town. Food is fresh, excellent and memorable. Service was friendly and loves when you come back two nights in a row!

Posto piccolo ma incantevole, una grata sorpresa de sapori. Abbiamo Mangiato benissimo. Metterei un po’ di musica di sottofondo per ambientare. Ma ne vale la pena.

16/03/2024: This Crotto was truly a nice discovery. The restaurant, in rustic style, enjoys a truly breathtaking view of Lake Como, with the possibility of eating outside in the warmer periods. Menu not varied but substantial, the lake lasagne is delicious. Service always attentive and welcoming, as I expected in a restaurant like this. Excellent value for money, I will definitely return.
