Il Guscio In Firenze

I really liked the restaurant. A varied menu, both meat and fish. We took fish and were satisfied. It was delicious. Nice, friendly staff. They serve quickly. I'd love to come back here again.

Really good and authentic Italian food! Full of locals and the food and wine quality is fantastic. Everything we got was delicious! Super affordable and great value for money compared to the US and Canada.

IL Guscio This was an amazing way to spend our last night in Florence. We have enjoyed some fabulous dining experiences and this one ranks very highly indeed. We took a 30 minute walk which is close to the La Carraia bridge. The reception we were given was warm and friendly before being escorted to our table. The menu is set out in a typical Italian way with Antipasti , Primi , Secondi and Desserts. A selection of bread arrived while we decided what to order. For the Antipasti we chose the Tuna Tartare with avocado and yoghurt along with a fantastic Beef Tartare with truffle , parmigano cheese and artichokes. These were two amazing dishes that left us excited for what was to follow. Now to the Primi where we opted for the Maltagliata with zucchini flowers , shrimp and prawn as well as my Paccheri n’duja with cherry tomatoes and burrata cheese. To say these dishes were heaven would be an understatement. Now on to the Secondi and wow was I in for something special. My wife chose the Lemon Meatballs with baked vegetables. For myself I chose my favourite Octopus which came with white beans and potato velvet and I have to say it was incredible. We accompanied these with a side order of fried artichokes. To pair with the food we chose a fabulous 2022 Azienda Agricola Casagori from Pienza. For Dessert I enjoyed the Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream with meringue and hot chocolate sauce. We finished with a coffee to end a truly amazing evening of food , wine and very friendly service. This restaurant to me is an absolute must visit and I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Florence.

A really great and so delicious moment at Il Guscio. Typical tuscan's tastes, those we dream about when thinking about italian cooking. A spécial Big UP for the Papardelle Al coniglio in bianco con olive nere Paccheri all'anatra. We enjoyed so much that we certainly will be back as soon as possible.

Lovely food and atmosphere at this restaurant! We enjoyed the papardelle with rabbit (the portion is smaller because they split it into two plates for us to share) and the tiramisu was delicious! We were able to get in for a late dinner without a reservation, but it does get fairly busy. Many creative menu choices as well. Unfortunately we had a small snail/slug (?) on our table but other than that it was a very pleasant meal :)

The best food we had in Florence. Reasonably priced. Need to make a reservation if you want to find a table.

Place with wheelchair-accessible outdoor space and gluten-free pasta available. Attentive and courteous service. Variety of meat and fish in a quality menu, excellent prices. I recommend it as a resident of the neighborhood.

VERY GOOD! From bread to dessert.

The best restaurant we went to in Florence. Very nice place and the food was great, especially the florentine steak which was extremely good. Not really expensive either, around 60 euros per person considering lots of wine and food.
