What a lovely place. We were so happy to stumble across Joy’s Place on our short trip to Malcesine. The food was so tasty and the service really great with friendly staff.

I went to this restaurant last Sunday, one of the few open on the lake this season. I recommend it for the kindness and helpfulness of the owners. Nice dishes and adequate portions. We'll be back.

We have been in Malcesine since Monday and have only eaten here so far. Away from the hustle and bustle, you can sit nicely in a backyard. Very friendly host who does everything himself. The food is super delicious, from the pizza to the grilled fish plate to the spaghetti frutti di Mare. The red house wine also tastes fantastic.

Essen war überragend! Pizza Calzone und der gegrillte Fischteller beim Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis nicht zu überbieten! Chef ist oft allein und macht ALLES daher Wartezeiten, die ich aber echt gerne in Kauf genommen habe.

Service angenehm - sehr nett! Wir mussten ca. 35 min auf unser Essen warten. Leider war das Essen nur durchschnittlich - wir hatten Nudeln mit Gambas und den Grillteller. In den Gambas war der Darm nicht entfernt :-( und für meinen Geschmack zu wenig gewürzt. Der Grillteller war vom Fleisch sehr gut, leider haben die wenigen Kartoffeln nach Bratkartoffeln vom Vortag geschmeckt.....

Wir sind aufgrund der guten Bewertungen in das Restaurant, können diese allerdings nicht nachvollziehen. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber mit Abstand von allen besuchten Restaurants am Gardasee die schwächste Performance. Mit Original Italienisch hatte das wenig zu tun. Das Ragout war ungewürzt, die Meeresfrüchte etwas zäh, Vorspeisen langweilig. Es war nicht schlecht, aber wir würden nicht nochmal kommen… Positiv ist der schöne und ruhige Innenhof, abseits des Tourismus.

Super Fleisch und Fischplatte. Keine große Karte, aber vollkommen ausreichend. Abseits vom Touristenstrom, deswegen schwer zu finden. Der Besuch lohnt sich!

07/04/2024: Very large pizza. We can ask for a "baby".
29/03/2024: On our way to Croatia we were looking for a pizzeria to eat. The pizzas are incredible, the dough is thin, they are gigantic but really light. We finished everything :) And the tiramisu finally convinced us. Really a very good pizzeria! We had it for 25th per person including conversion.

02/04/2024: We ate here several times while on vacation with the family. Unfortunately we couldn't eat outside because of the weather, but thanks to the large windows we still had a nice view of the lake and the pier. The food is really delicious, you can order anything without hesitation. The service was very attentive, quick and courteous.
