La Locanda Dei Mori In Taormina

Great homemade food and very well priced, it gives you a break after how expensive everything is in the rest of the town. We tried the melazzane, the lasagna and for dessert the tiramisu (homemade made to order), all exquisite! Antonio was also very nice, it didn't take long to serve us the food. We were sitting on the terrace, it was a very pleasant night.

Fantastic place… little nook! Authentic Sicilian food… avoiding a tourist trap… then you got it!!

We enjoyed ourselves in this restaurant located in a small street sheltered from the waves of tourists. Everything was delicious and we were very well received! Special mention for the Sicilian antipasti, a real treat after a good day wandering the streets of Taormina 😊

Good food, friendly and helpful staff.

This is a cute little place just off a main road, tucked in a little. I gave a three star for atmosphere because there's no view, it's just an outside patio with views of other restaurants and businesses around, but you are still outside in Taormina! Service was good, not a huge menu, but what we got was OK. Nothing really stood out to us. We ordered the traditional and pistachio bruschetta, pasta alla norma, and grilled veggies with a bottle of wine. Prices were reasonable. They served the wine out of a cute ceramic rooster, I'll post a pic below. Well, I tried to post the picture below, but there was no way to crop it and the rooster kept getting cut off! If we couldn't get in anywhere else, we'd go back here, but there was just nothing fantastic about it. Their patio seating seemed to have an Asian flair to me, see below.

The best food, peace and quiet, very atmospheric and away from crowds of tourists. Small family restaurant, great spaghetti with clams, wonderful lasagne, great service 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻❤️❤️❤️

The house wine was very bad (compared to others in Taormina). The food was ok but nothing special. The service was not very attentive

Tolles, originnelles Kleinlokal mit ausgezeichneter lokalen Küche, frisch zubereitet und freundlicher Bedienung

Feiner frischer und grosszügige Portion Caprese und Salat. Cotelette grigliatta sehr zu empfehlen. Sehr nette, aufmerksame Bedienung: haben nicht glutenfreies Menü (Missverständnis beim Bestellen) anstandslos zurückgenommen und glutenfreie Variante nachgeliegert. Lasagne sehr fein und nicht mastig. Gamberoni mit gesunder Farbe und biss. Gerne wieder!
