What can I say, I think one of the best taverns I've tried. This is truly the real Osteria, like those of the past. Excellent service, the hosts were helpful, hospitable and fun, they really immersed us in the atmosphere of a real Osteria... Really good food. From the menu they offered that day, we took the cacio pepe meatballs as an appetizer, then pigeon and suckling pig, marinated courgettes and Reggiana-style potatoes, water and wine... EVERYTHING EXCELLENT! Average prices (we spent €50 for 2) Sincere congratulations! We also left a tip.

Highly recommended restaurant, everything good

Saturday evening dinner with my wife. We ate really well. From ribollita with meatballs, to tortelli carbonara, to then move on to pigeon alla folignate and roast free-range chicken with rosemary. To conclude, tart with ricotta, chocolate and chestnuts. Traditional food, excellent. Good and fast service. Typical tavern atmosphere. Nice and kind staff. The very nice owner. I recommend this place. Please book well in advance.

Famosissima a Foligno, in questa osteria si viene catapultati negli odori, nei sapori e nelle atmosfere delle antiche osterie umbre com’erano una volta. Il proprietario, numero uno indiscusso, è l’Oste con la O maiuscola, se avete la fortuna di incrociarlo con poche parole vi allieterá la serata. Menu non estesissimo ma molto selezionato: prendiamo una caramella ripiena di carne bianca assortita, vitello e interiora (pajata) che è la fine del mondo. Pappardelle al cinghiale come primo buonissime, e per secondo l’immancabile piccione, piatto forte del locale. Chiude il pasto una sorprendente panna cotta pere e Varnelli davvero ben riuscita. Sui vini non esitate a prenderli sfusi: sono di ottima qualità, provenienti da importanti viticoltori locali. Prezzo onestissimo. Esperienza più che positiva, attenzione solo alla scelta menu perché sono sapori che non a tutti possono piacere, ma se si sceglie una osteria, questo locale ha davvero tutto per soddisfarvi.
