La Tazza d Oro In Ravenna

Ok, so first I’m laughing at the negative reviews of this place from fellow Americans who don’t travel to Europe much or they wouldn’t be so shocked about certain service expectations or the conditions of a bathroom - you’re in Italy, be happy they even had a toilet for you to use! So that said, this was a wonderful location and we actually stopped here twice while in Ravenna. You are right in the Piazza enjoying all the activity while sipping on reasonably price drinks, beer and wine. They serve drinks with a nice complimentary snack tray. The food was good - had a charcuterie board, bruschetta and tortellini. It was all very reasonable for the area and location. But it’s not fine dining, but that’s not why we wanted to be there. The service was good, but you have to be proactive - they literally had 3 or 4 front side wait staff working the entire place. They were responsive and friendly once you had their attention. Remember where you are - they’re not going to bug the crap out of you like the US. If you need something let them know otherwise they just assume you’re enjoying your table and experience. Finally we used the restroom and it was seriously not that bad. We’ve had some crazy bathroom stories while traveling and this place is not one of them. A single dedicated guest toilet is much more than you see at a lot of establishments in Europe. I recommend this spot and will return when next in Ravenna.

Ci siamo seduti con l’idea di chiedere il classico spritz, ma il barman ci ha invitato a provare drink personalizzati per ciascuno di noi in base ai nostri gusti. Dopo aver atteso molto meno del previsto sono arrivati tutti i drink, invitanti già a prima vista ma assolutamente spaziali al primo sorso. Avevamo già provato i drink di qualche mixologist in altre città, ma questo ragazzo ha davvero centrato per equilibrio e gusto ogni drink. Descrivendoci il processo creativo dietro ogni drink e raccontandoci qualche curiosità sulla storia di diverse tipologie di gin, questo ragazzo ci ha regalato un’esperienza a 360 gradi, apprezzatissima e assolutamente da rifare. Il miglior barman di Ravenna per abilità, professionalità e simpatia.
