Historic place in Prato, it's difficult for those who don't know it to discover it, because it's always full of people and it doesn't look like a restaurant. In fact it is very much focused on the quality 'dining point', while on the upper floors there are private rooms to taste the delicacies in peace. However, very high price/quality ratio, excellent assortment of wines, frequented by a mixed clientele, from workers to managers.

My favorite place in Prato! Excellent quality of food, always a wide range of dishes, impeccable management, value for money 10 and a really nice and smart manager!! Well done!! When I find myself in the area I always stop with great pleasure

Family evening. Excellent pizza, easily digestible, thin and crumbly. Service a little confusing. Very noisy room due to an overly lively table.

Historic place in Prato that also offers a rotisserie service. I hadn't been there in a long time. The pizza was good, the bill was more than honest

E' una gastronomia che offre servizio al tavolo o asporto, personale gentile e simpatico. Piatti al top ad un prezzo eccezionale. Tra i miei ristoranti preferiti.

Il Falcone

26/05/2024: Dopo aver visitato la bella villa medicea di Poggio a Caiano, con una coppia di amici abbiamo pranzato in questo piacevole ristorante che presenta due sale da pranzo: la prima posta all'ingresso piuttosto ordinaria, ma decorosa, la seconda invece decisamente più gradevole e accogliente ( dove abbiamo pranzato). Il proprietario è una persona affabile e simpatica. Il personale professionale e cortese. Abbiamo ordinato 3 spaghetti all' amatriciana e uno di penne al lampredotto. Di seguito due stracotti con contorno di fagiolini e spinaci. Tutti i piatti ordinati sono stati apprezzati comprese le ottime fette di torta di mele. Se dovessimo ritornare in zona, sicuramente questo ristorante sarebbe la nostra meta..magari per assaggiare le altre tipiche specialità della cucina Toscana.
11/05/2024: Auf dem Weg zur Medici-Villa sind wir vorbeigekommen und sind der großen Reisegruppe gefolgt, die gerade ins Falcone reingelaufen ist. Das war eine sehr gute Entscheidung. Denn obwohl die große Gruppe versorgt werden musste, wurden wir ebenfalls ganz schnell bedient. Der Service ist sehr sehr freundlich und beflissen. Die Karte klein aber dafür ist das Essen umso besser: das Kaninchen war fantastisch genauso wie die Polpette dritte und die Pasta. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und empfehlen den Falcone, den es wohl schon 160 Jahre gibt, an alle weiter die in Poggio in Caiano vorbeischauen.

La Vecchia Cucina di Soldano

21/05/2024: Having work in the area, we had been telling ourselves for days that we had to stop for lunch at Soldano one day. We love this type of very informal location to discover every now and then. Objectively it is not positioned in an excellent way given that it is located in a fairly complicated one-way street, but the desire to try it goes beyond everything... We are made to sit at a table and ask for change due to the passage that was there, the staff was very kind he is satisfied immediately. We order, accompanying the water with a Rocca delle Macie for around €20, we order a mixed starter, pico with wild boar, peposo, side cabbage and potatoes with sautéed vegetables and chicken. The food is certainly good and you can see that there is passion in what you do, if I may make a suggestion, the wild boar ragù could be more sophisticated and unfortunately the missing star is due to the peposo which was not tasty at all soft as expected despite having to admit that the seasoning was really good. So a few small oversights, but you can see that there is good work done and it also explains why it is difficult to find a seat on the busiest days. We will see each other soon.
20/05/2024: Found by chance on a Saturday for lunch. Very positive experience We will definitely return
