Lido Monte Saraceno In Mattinata

Very delicious food. Friendly and nice service. There was a private party with music, and the staff was still able to take very good care of us for a late lunch of heavy appetizers. Easy to park. Best Cozze (Mediterranean steamed Mussels) we’ve ever had in our lives! Bruschetta was insanely good, with olives from the trees on the property. The beach is unforgettable. Nonna loved every minute.

I think it is one of the most beautiful places visited on the Gargano coast of Mattinata, a wonderful and modern location, a restaurant on the sea with a breathtaking view, alongside the Saracen mountain. Words cannot explain such beauty. But let's get to lunch: a sequence of top-quality tastes and flavours, very fresh fish and very high quality cooking. And this must be underlined because the lunch was taken on a public holiday, so I can't imagine how much yours is multiplied in goodness on a weekday!!! Highly recommended, for a luxury lunch by the sea!

We had lunch in this place, with a wonderful view, on a Sunday in April and I must admit that it has gotten much worse in recent years, both in terms of services and overall quality. We paid 22 euros for a paltry seafood appetizer, not to mention the wine by the glass, which was given to us from a bottle opened who knows how many weeks before without asking us for any feedback on the matter. Other friends sitting nearby also complained about the same things: terrible quality of the frying (heated in the oven before being served), questionable service and prices of a starred restaurant. Sin!
