I didn't give 5 stars for only one reason: the toilets were too narrow and lacked facilities for the disabled. Overall, the food deserves the score assigned and the service is attentive and professional, even managing to communicate in English. My three for the environment is due precisely to reviewing and if possible modifying the two toilets. Despite this observation of mine, the Mayore Restaurant deserves to be visited for its typical flavors of the area where the cooking of pork is enhanced.

Excellent restaurant. Truly delicious risotto alla Majore. Pork sauce is the house specialty. Very very pleasant house wine. Attentive and helpful staff. Immersed in the historic center of Chiaramonte, this inn is certainly a must-see.

Tutto eccellente dal menu ai prezzi e al servizio. Due cose su tutto: la costata ripiena ed il falso magro ottimi senza dimenticare la gelatina Majore. L’eccellenza esiste e qua si vede molto bene!

Era da tempo che volevo andare ai questo ristorante famoso e ogfi mi trovavo a passare da Chiaramonte erano le ore 13 e mi sono fermato a pranzo. Gli antipasti un po deludente 4 fettine di salame (buono) 1 di capocollo 1 di formaggio e un triangolo di gelatina ....... Io non so se la gelatina tradizionale di Chiaramonte è così. A me non è piaciuta per tanti motivi. La costata ripiena diciamo accettabile , il servizio i. Sala è stato buono. Purtroppo il signore che gestiva un po' meno . Prezzo nella norma

08/05/2024: Lovely restaurant under the trees. We were welcomed like family! Exceptional food, special mention for the pasta alla norma and the scottona steaks! We are from Genoa otherwise we would become regular customers!
30/04/2024: The food is excellent, in a characteristic restaurant very close to the Donnafugata castle: we tasted 2 delicious first courses (ravioli with ricotta and pork sauce and pasta alla norma), hamburgers and mixed grill. Also recommended for the quality/price ratio😉

Villa Fortugno

05/05/2024: Villa Fortugno is a delightful Iblean summer residence well renovated, preserved and transformed into a restaurant and pizzeria. It was the year 2000 when we decided to have a wedding reception: a fairy tale! Yesterday, we were in Ragusa for a conference, and afterwards we found ourselves passing by there. We enter and are guests of the owner and manager of the Villa, Mr. Curial. Delightful and refined location. Simple but elegant mise en place. Professional service. Pizza with crunchy dough and top-quality ingredients. Excellent cooking. Wine list limited to "few but good". Thank you very much!
12/12/2023: lunch organized for a birthday. We ate very well, from the appetizer with attention to the smallest details, to the dishes chosen, all very good, friendly and super competent service. The walk in the garden was the icing on the cake.
