Matsuhisa at Cala di Volpe In Arzachena

Pros - wonderful staff, proximity to beautiful beaches, spectacular views from almost everywhere on the property, modern gym equipment, steam spa that you can book Cons - everything is outrageously overpriced eg. 35 euros for a cocktail, 20 euros for a bottle of water at the bar, 20 euros for a beer, 12 euro for small snacks in the room, places on the property can feel a bit tired, you spend time thinking about where to eat off property due to outrageous pricing When paying so much for the room you expect a more delightful experience, not leaving the property peeved off by the unnecessary expenses (eg. 20 euros for water at dinner). Doesn’t live up to the 5 star experience, not great value

We spent an afternoon at the hotel. The view is amazing, the service is very upscale and attentive. The prices are accordingly, it was a unique experience. We had pasta, fish and gelato for dessert.

This hotel is an absolute pearl. From the moment you check in, you essentially enter another world. The ambience of the hotel is exceptional. The rooms are up to date and especially the bathroom is a dream. There are separate rooms for shower, toilet and make-up area. Everything was designed by an architect. The staff, from room service to the bar to the restaurant, really look after you lovingly. Almost every wish is read from your lips. We really felt very comfortable and were able to switch off completely. Especially for work, I have been “at home” in many hotels, none of which have inspired me as much as the Cala du Volpe. A big thank you to the entire Cala di Volpe team. We will come back.
