Osteria Ai Do Farai In Venezia

This is the place in Venice where the locals eat. Everything will definitely be fresh, tasty, not the most expensive and without unnecessary frills. This restaurant is about that. I had the freshest scampi and excellent pasta with crab. Dessert was a light tiramisu, the cream was perfect. The only thing is that the coffee was not quite Italian. A bit runny. I'll be back again.

We took the risotto al nero di seppie. It was absolutely wonderful, so tasty, not chewy at all, really good. But the waiter was a bit cold, and the restaurant is only a big room, and as Italians are really loud, it can be a bit overwhelming. I think the place could be perfect with a tiny more likable service and less noise!

Best food in Venice, hard tofins but must tey, ask for Manny recommendation. Nice restaurant!!!

Fast and attentive service, small restaurant far from mass tourists, family cuisine! The prices are affordable, which is everything we were looking for in Venice. The waiter was very honest in telling me that I ultimately couldn't eat the tiramisu ordered since I was pregnant, it was fresh. It was excellent and honest thank you.

A far better traveler than I observed that one cannot get to know Venice unless you are willing to get lost. We got lost around lunch time in search of the alternative entrance to the Ca Rezzenico (the main entrance was closed) and came upon this unassuming but crowded Osteria at lunch time. Fortunately, we were able to get a table and we made a point of asking the server what he recommended that day. Following his recommendations, my wife had baby squid and I the sea bass. The squid was tender and tasty, but the sea bass was among the best fish I ever had. It was brought to the table whole and then skinned and fileted most professionally. it was very flavorful, moist and tender. The server mentioned that it had been purchased that morning in the Rialto fish market. We accompanied the meal with a recommended bottle of Veneto Pino Grigio finished with coffee and desert. And, we did not make it to the Ca Rezzenico that day either. We will definitely try to find this place again when next we are in Venice, and unreservedly recommend it.

Esperienza culinaria fantastica, pesce buonissimo e freschissimo. Ci siamo stati tre sere di fila per assaggiare tutte le specialità. Personale super e prezzi ottimi. Bravissimi tutti!
