21/05/2024: Truly, truly, truly amazing. High prices but if you go there you should know that.

14/05/2024: Let me start by saying that I am not a fan of Michelin restaurants and I am often disappointed by the cloying similarity of service offered by the latter. I also don't like spending my money recklessly. But no, at Vittorio the Cerea family welcomes you in an elegant but not stuffy way. Thanks to Sara's excellent service we enjoyed a perfect lunch in every detail. He made us feel like welcome guests in an impeccable but not too formal atmosphere. The food, what can I say, incomparable! We enjoyed every course on the menu and none of these lacked character and originality as well as the amazing and unexpected choice of combinations: always original and never a flavor that was out of place with the others. The whole lunch was a unique experience without the slightest flaw: exceptional in the kitchen and splendid in the dining room in a very pleasant location. How nice to discover that Italian catering has these excellences without falling back into the ridiculous dishes of nouvelle cuisine. Dear Italian restaurateurs, go once in your life to this realm of gastronomy: you will understand that you will never be able to get close to this quality and perhaps you will stop aping the big names by only reducing the quantity of food on the plate without adding anything to its quality. To find a flaw you have to look at the mark-up on the price of the wines which is a bit excessive, but justifiable by the large amount of capital required to offer such a wide range. I've read some negative reviews from other guests, but believe me, as a good skeptic of starred restaurants, I wouldn't write such an enthusiastic review if it really wasn't the best restaurant I've had lunch in in my entire life. The bill is high, of course, but I believe that to offer such a unique experience you need a lot of highly qualified staff and excellent raw materials to such an extent that I believe the price paid is absolutely justified. Trattoria or Vittorio: everything that lies halfway between the two worlds is just a useless mannerism.
