We organized a Sunday lunch with some friends and by chance I found this place in the center of Udine attracted by the good reviews on TripAdvisor. What can I say, it was an excellent choice. We were treated like special guests by the super professional and kind staff right from the start. We had a reserved table in an intimate and comfortable location for our small group. Then the food arrived. The appetizer with creamed cod and mantis shrimp was delicious. As a second course we took the mixed grill because it was the Sunday specialty and the meat melted in your mouth, accompanied by the crispy chips it was super. And at the end liqueurs and a lot of sympathy from the boys. We will be back soon!!!

We went to eat today (Sunday). Truly stratospheric grill, truly compliments to the griller, very difficult to eat the meat well but here you certainly won't be disappointed (the rib melted in your mouth). The service is also truly fantastic, the young guys are very kind and professional. Super recommended (especially for barbecues)

Only a few flaws in the service... but we know that no one is perfect. For the rest, this tavern, where I am already at my 3rd experience and never disappointed so far, located near the Cathedral of Udine offers a good range of food, well cooked, well served in a sober and well furnished environment in the classic version of an old Friulian tavern . Here you can taste an excellent house menu with Friulian wines produced mostly in the Cividale area and Spessa where we find excellent vines, so there is no more suitable choice than this. We also find excellent beer and classic drinks. Good prices looking at other places of this kind, especially those regarding the good desserts offered. The 3 euros for a lime, very full, are well spent. Well done to all the staff... keep up the good work. Advised.

Rather plain and nondescript from the outside, but don't walk past, as inside you will find great food and friendly service - and at very reasonable prices indeed! They have a garden at the rear, which is lovely in the summer. They even make their own delicious bread. This restaurant is something of a hidden gem.

22/02/2024: Locale molto grande a due piani, sulla strada che conduce a Tricesimo; ampio spazio di parcheggio proprio dinanzi all’ingresso. Frequentatissimo soprattutto da giovani, presenta un ambiente accogliente e simpatico, con arredamento rustico e tavoli allestiti semplicemente; il personale si dimostra efficiente e gentile, ma senza esibire una particolare cordialità. Il menù è quanto mai ampio e vario, e la sua proposta va dai taglieri di salumi e formaggi del territorio agli stuzzichini (di mare, fritti, focacce), dai piatti tipici della tradizione carnica ai primi piatti spadellati, dai secondi a base di pesce a quelli di carne, dai piatti freddi ai burgers, dalle insalatone alle bruschettone, dalla pizza a metro ai dessert; senza poi dimenticare l’ampia carta dei vini e l’assortimento di birra alla spina, friulana ed internazionale. Noi ci siamo trovati per scambiarci gli auguri di Natale, bere qualcosa assieme e mettere qualche stuzzichino sotto i denti; quindi abbiamo ordinato birra, patatine fritte, focaccia friulana, cipolla fritta, trascorrendo il nostro tempo chiacchierando e stuzzicando, ed inframezzando con qualche brindisi beneaugurante.

05/11/2023: Our favorite for a lunch on the beach but well sheltered by the shade. High product quality and freshness. My favorite?: Lemon tagliolini, dill and red prawn tartare. Even if you are a tourist, the quality, care of the service and the dishes are a certainty. Average prices and excellent value for money. Fabulous tiramisu. Not too sweet, and of the right composition. Advise
25/08/2023: la location è fantastica e richiama molto il tema marino, si mangia ottimi piatti di pesce fresco a un prezzo molto moderato. ottimo il servizio attento a molti dettaglio come il fatto di aprire il tappo dell’acqua appena portata. consiglio questo ristorante a chiunque voglia mangiare dei piatti freschi e saporiti di pesce.
