Consistently delicious food and good drinks. The ambience is very nice with good musical accompaniment. Unfortunately, the service is very careless when it comes to clearing the tables and even if you make eye contact they just look at the place but no one comes to clear them for a long time. Tip: Improve the service accordingly and then everything will be great.

Located in the historic center of Otranto, but not in a crowded area. Dishes that are beautiful to look at, but the prices are too high for the quality of the products used and the taste of the food, dishes of the day at a cost of 25 euros without any written or verbal information, service a little slow, but polite.

Lunch on September 5th We were on the bike and had a small lunch in the OSTE restaurant. Friendly service Food quality good Prices are ok for Italian standards (general price/performance), but tend to be a bit more expensive

Personale professionale, gentile ed accurato Location appena fuori dal centro del castello di Otranto, dove per fortuna si riesce a mangiare in totale tranquillità senza essere in mezzo al via vai di gente. Piatti fantastici, pesce freschissimo e combinazioni e varietà perfette nel menu e fuori menù. Prezzi un pelo più alti rispetto ad altri ristoranti presenti nella zona, ma giustificati molto dalla qualità del servizio e del cibo. Noi abbiamo preso come antipasto un crudo di pesce (scampi, gamberi e ostriche) ed una tartare di tonno, e poi un piatto fuori menù che comprendeva ravioli ripieni di gamberi con crema di scampi e sugo all’astice, e come secondo orata (pescato del giorno) al cartoccio con cozze e scampi. Tutto veramente ottimo. Spendendo in totale circa 100€ Ne vale veramente la pena. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente la prossima volta che saremo ad Otranto a cena.

Sopravvalutato! Simpatici ma non ci tornerei. Rapporto qualità prezzo ingiustificato . Si mangia male e si paga tanto. Tartare di tonno scomposta salatissima proprio come il conto.

14/09/2023: We ate pizza. 4 cheese pizza was ok, was not the best. The other pizza was like toasted bread topped with tomate and mozzarella. There was kid park just next the restaurant. The restaurant was quite big, you can easily plan an event there for more than 100 people. Finally, price was really cheap comparing to other restaurants at that zone. But I need to say that the restaurant is in the middle of nowhere. To be able to find it you need a recommendation of someone. Otherwise, there is no change to find it by yourself.

31/03/2024: Elegante e raffinato, ambiente curato ( si mangia in un palazzo storico nel centro di Matino) servizio molto curato come nei ristoranti di fascia alta. Cucina tipica ma rivisitata in chiave moderna, abbiamo preso in 2 quattro antipasti ( quindi 2 portate a testa ) più acqua e calice di vino con una spesa di circa 40 € a persona. Da segnalare il tuorlo d'uovo panato con fonduta cardoncelli e tartufo ( buonissimo, tartufo pazzesco ) , come secondo antipasto il pasticciotto salato ripieno con fonduta e pere su letto di fonduta di formaggio stilton, molto buono ( pregiato formaggio erborinato , sapore sapido che personalmente apprezzo molto ma dal gusto molto particolare , molto forte e in quanto tale tende a coprire molto gli altri sapori ). Qualche dubbio sul roastbeef di vitello con capperi disidratati ( buoni i capperi ma secondo me un po troppo salato ). Nel complesso lo consiglio , si mangia bene e c ' e' una grande cura nella scelta delle materie prime , tutte di alto livello ( come nel caso del tartufo e del formaggio ,ad esempio).
11/10/2023: Super restaurant, worth coming to Matino to enjoy!! Super cocktail lounge, very hip, cool music. Dinner on rooftop was not only beautiful, but the food was delicious. We were group of 10 for a birthday dinner and had a fantastic evening. Matino is a beautiful little town, highly recommend getting in the Matino vibe by visiting/staying and surely to eat and drink at Foscolo!!
