The place is really characteristic, typical of cellars. The bathroom is a surplus, you have to go there, you will be amazed. We ordered the amatriciana and the gricia (specifying the type of pasta i.e. tonnarelli) with 2 glasses of wine. While we waited they brought us some bread with oil, which was really excellent. The only flaw is that in the end they brought us short sleeves. Despite this I was really satisfied!

The setting is truly cared for down to the smallest detail and characteristic. The bathroom left me speechless. A bit of a wait to receive our first courses but it was certainly repaid by the excellent food. A plus was receiving a pan with bread and a bottle of oil for waiting, which made everything even more characteristic and convivial. The price paid is average especially because it is located in the center and the portion of the first course was quite generous.
The only negative point was having specified Tonnarello as the type of pasta and having received mezze sleeves, without even having been notified of the non-availability of that type of pasta. However, we were satisfied.

The best place I have ever visited in Viterbo for an apero. The staff is so friendly, the atmosphere is great. The food is delicious and the drinks are fantastic. Plus, the background music will complete the perfect vibe.

Very warm and welcoming place, right music (I always pay attention to it), excellent food and served in a truly original way. A piece of advice: go and see the bathroom, it's spectacular!!!!

Accoglienza non molto calorosa come ci si aspetta all’entrata di un locale. Posto molto carino, ma quel prosciutto finto attaccato al soffitto, non si può vedere. Cibo molto buono. Angela e Co

É accogliente e particolare l'ambiente della Cantina dei papi. Atmosfera medievale tra mattoni, muri, legno per porte e angoli (dispiace per qualche altro punto o oggetto piuttosto fuori testo). Si mangia un buon tagliere misto salumi e formaggi, il ragù rosso, l'abbacchio allo scottadito. Sfiziosi gli arrosticini. Da provare anche il lardo di patanegra e la cheesecake. Buona la carta dei vini. Da bere il Bolgheri rosso Iris Ferrari. Personale garbato e gentile. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo.
