We stopped in before catching the train home and hadn't checked the reviews beforehand. However we have 4 cichetti for 2 with 2 very decent select spritz for 24 EUR which remains within the prices charged plus an espresso for 3 euros on the terrace with a very fast and smiling waiter. We didn't try the dishes but for an aperitif it was pretty good.

My accommodation was not far away. Every morning I bought fresh croissants here and the coffee was very tasty. I also saw many other menu items that I would be happy to try next time.

Nous avons bien mangé pour un prix raisonnable. Les calamars à la romaine sont excellents et pas gras. Rien à voir avec ce que l'on sert souvent en France

Una experiencia deliciosa en este restaurante. Las pizzas eran excepcionales, mi familia y yo las disfrutamos mucho. El lugar cuenta con una ubicación conveniente y el personal brinda un servicio excelente. ¡Definitivamente lo recomiendo!

Camerieri simpatici. Danno la possibilità di mangiare a tutte le ore. Il cibo è buono. Il locale si trova difronte al ponte degli scalzi

Ai Scalzi is right before the busy bridge - Ponte degli Scalzi. So it has a lot of traffic like tourists and movers nonstop walking very close to the outdoor dining area of the restaurant. It was hard to enjoy the food or drinks when lots of people walking around next to us! The food and drinks were good! The service was okay! But I will get an indoor table next time!

Il giorno della proclamazione della mia laurea, con familiari e amici, ho prenotato un aperitivo con rinfresco. Ci siamo trovati bene, abbiamo concordato il tutto via mail e come accordato ci è stato servito. Molto gentile il proprietario e tutto il personale. GRAZIE!!!

Al 56 Zerootto

24/02/2024: There are so many restaurants in Venice with mixed reviews, so we were delighted after a long day of walking to be welcomed here on this busy corner not far from St Marks area, and find that this restaurant was in fact brilliant: friendly, efficient waiters, who spoke good English, easy to understand menu, delicious starter of mozerella & prosciutto ham followed by spaghetti meatballs and a huge insalata mista which is the mixed salad of fresh lettuce, etc. A basket of bread on the side was provided and just ask for balsamic, virgin olive oil and parmesan if you want some. Prosecco was chilled and you can buy it by the half bottle if you don’t fancy a full 75cl. The restaurant had a lovely vibe, there were tourists from Italy, USA and GB during our visit. It was good value too. Of our 5 day trip to Venice, this was our favourite restaurant and we returned there again for pizza on our last night in Venice.
10/01/2024: Estamos acá en el Restoran 56 Zerootto. Mediodía 10 de enero de 2024. Mucho frío y sol. El lugar es muy acogedor. Muy buena atención. Tienen un menú de 3 pasos al mediodía de eu 19, muy rico. Vale la pena venir

Ristorante dell'Osmarin

21/03/2024: Not a four star hotel. The room was very nice but the heated towel rail in the bathroom was stuck on full heat so we opened the window in early March. The soap and shampoo had no conditioner and the freebees quality was more two star than four star. We didn't eat there. The people on the doorstep trying to lure you in to eat were off-putting. The hotel is in a lovely area close enough to a vaporetto stop with interesting bars and shops in the area. The €4.50 a night to be paid in cash was explained when we arrived. There was a working lift and the WiFi was very good quality. No idea whether there was working Air conditioning and I would want that in warmer months. It was quiet and our room overlooked a deserted alleyway but you could hear the children playing at the local primary school which was joyous. It felt impersonal but I'd stay there again if they fixed the heating/cooling issues.
09/11/2023: Excellent hotel. We were there for 2 nights and don't regret it. The living conditions are excellent, the breakfast is very good, the view from the window overlooks one of the canals. The hotel staff are great guys who are always kind and polite. The area is very quiet and peaceful, although it is not far from the main square. We recommend this hotel to everyone.
