Your hosts Gabriele and Viola are superior food and wine experts. This is a small, off the beaten tourist path but utterly delightful bistro. The food of small plates or a curated tasting menu was the best I have had in Sicily. Concepts and flavors are unlike anything else you will experience here. This should be a foodie’s pilgrimage spot!! Dedicated to local cuisine with a new outlook it should not be missed.

Had a lovely time here with delicious food and great wine recommendations. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, and they made my birthday feel extra special. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening!

Great Sicilian food with very nice selection of wine, with very knowledgeable staff. A story behind every meal and every wine. Good service and nice ambiance for family or couples. I have eaten here several times.

the food is the real thing. Sicilian in style with local wines to matched. Ask anything about the wine or food and there is a story behind it. Relaxed atmosphere here makes for a great experience for a couple or a larger group or family.

Wir hatten ein 3-Gänge-Menü und zu jedem Gang einen passenden Wein (Glas), dessen Auswahl uns jeweils ausführlich und kompetent (auf Englisch) erklärt wurde. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Lediglich die Portionsgröße des Hauptgerichtes hätte etwas großzügiger sein können. Aber Qualität und Geschmack stimmte. Empfehlung!

30/05/2024: What a gorgeous restaurant with amazing location and located right in front of the “Porta Comunale” the food and service were outstanding!
23/05/2024: The food was very tasty, the staff was friendly and always introduced the individual dishes. There is a small lemon tree in the middle of the front garden, a nice ambience especially in the evening.

La Locanda Di Capise

30/04/2024: Il locale che non ti aspetti! Conosco poco Santa Domenica Vittoria e confesso che, prima d'ora, non avevo mai sentito parlare di questa locanda (funge anche da affittacamere) in pieno centro del paese. Abbiamo mangiato divinamente con ottimi antipasti, tra cui molte novità diverse da ciò che servono in altri posti simili e buonissimi primi piatti (maccheroni di casa al sugo di maiale, trofie con le sparacogne che sarebbero degli asparagi locali e ravioloni ripieni di ricotta e spinaci. Breve attesa, servizio attentissimo e... dimenticavo... dolci eccezionali.
25/04/2024: Su suggerimento di un amico abbiamo conosciuto questa splendida realtà gestita in maniera impeccabile da Pippo , locale molto curato e pulito , antipasti tradizionali e molto vari dal gusto sensazionale primi eccellenti e molto saporiti , secondi di carne locale , complimenti ancora per il modo di curare il cliente e soprattutto rispetto anche nel far pagare il giusto senza esagerazioni
