We arrived at the entrance to the road before the business and were welcomed by the friendly valets who were willing to park the car for us (the Genoese territory is particularly "irregular" and it is not so easy to find a parking space for everyone and wherever you go ) it is very much appreciated that they also thought of this detail. We find ourselves, immediately after crossing a small bridge, in front of the entrance to the restaurant (as the photo shows): we were welcomed by a friendly lady at the entrance, making us feel welcome and leaving us in the expert hands of the waiters and staff. waitress (contrary to what people think about Genoese hospitality, we know our stuff, let me tell you). The arrangement of the tables and the interior design choices make you think of a classic and tidy trattoria outside the city, but the class, education and availability of the staff perfectly frame this convivial reality which takes its work very seriously. We were happy with our choices, dishes that come from the Genoese tradition prepared to perfection. A wonderful and necessary note on the Genoese pesto: it is immediately noticeable when it is prepared in a mixer which facilitates the chopping and mixing of the ingredients, but when it is coarsely chopped, as was done by the restaurant kitchen and therefore the smell and flavor of the basil are enhanced and accompanied by pine nuts and the other ingredients, well this choice leaves that freshness in the mouth that a good Genoese pesto must leave. I really appreciated this because this is how I do it at home too. We said to ourselves that we will definitely return to this splendid restaurant and that we will bring with us family and friends who appreciate good food as much as we do. One of the historic restaurants of Genoa and not by chance. Exceptional in the mushroom and truffle period. Simple but refined dishes at the same time. Important wine list. Trained staff.

Definitely overpriced!!! First courses 14 euros small portions served on large plates so as not to show the quantity, second courses and starters with average prices starting from 18 euros... moreover out of season with dishes based on frozen mushrooms... it's not accessible for a family, too bad it was once the classic Genoese trattoria...

It was the first time even though I had always known the name. Pleasant environment, precise service and traditional dishes with spectacular desserts. A more than pleasant experience, so much so that we also booked for Easter Monday.

In questo ristorante , dove abbiamo mangiato mio marito ed io sabato sera insieme ad una coppia di amici , ci siamo sentiti a casa. Senti proprio che l’arte della cucina e dell’accoglienza arriva da lontano. Senti dal momento in cui varchi la soglia che si respira un’aria di famiglia, della buona cucina con piatti della tradizione e altri più innovativi. Il servizio è impeccabile, i ragazzi giovani che vengono al tavolo sono gentili, hanno buon modo. Ho mangiato una tartare con i carciofi nella sua semplicità buonissima e un primo piccage fatte in casa con la farina di castagne con il pesto eccezionali. Torneremo sicuramente perché abbiamo gradito tutto dall’accoglienza, al servizio, ai vini (ospitavano un produttore di una cantina in occasione di VinNatur ), i piatti tutti. Grazie

A distanza di molti anni sono ritornato in questo locale e come allora sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Il locale è rimasto pressoché immutato per quello che posso ricordare, ambiente informale, ampio e ben curato. Personale gentile, sorridente e alla mano. Cibo della tradizione ligure, sapientemente preparato e di ottima qualita. Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo anzi più che ottimo. Da provare assolutamente...sia in coppia che in comitiva anche numerosa.
