I loved it, real homemade Italian food, recipes from here, delicious!! I have discovered muddica, the poor man's cheese, delicious. It gives a fantastic touch to the dishes.
I recommend the dish of the day, the artichokes with potatoes (photo) and the red wine, spectacular.

This is a restaurant serving Southern Italian style food.
When I visited, the inside of the store was a bit busy, but the staff still felt friendly and attentive.
The meatballs are definitely worth trying. It doesn't contain real meat, but has a texture like fluffy bread, and the sauce that comes with it is very delicious.
Pasta topped with peperoncino is a new taste, but it has a bit of a sanscho flavor, so there may be some likes and dislikes.
I enjoyed it.
Overall, it is a satisfactory place.
If you are in Matera, I recommend a visit.

We arrived at 7.40pm (they opened at 8pm) and there were already a lot of people queuing outside.
Simple and tasty traditional cuisine.

Extremely positive service and environment, a homemade tavern just the way we like it.
It's worth it just for the friendliness of the waiters (especially Paolo).
However, prices are too high for the average quality of the food:
good Matera cialledda, excellent Lucanian lasagne, shame about the Lucanian-style morsels (meat rolls) which are mostly raw and therefore inedible.

I visited when it opened at 12:45 PM. As soon as I entered, customers started flocking in. It was a restaurant where you could really feel the local atmosphere. I ordered an eggplant dish and two pasta dishes as starters, but I didn't make any of them! I eat a lot of Cavatelli Alla Lucana pasta and I also recommend it.

ho finalmente trovato un posto non turistico con prodotti locali e tipici fatti giorno per giorno.
c'è semplicemente l'imbarazzo della scelta. Il mio piatto preferito sono state le polpette,per la qualità del pomodoro e del condimento.

Questa trattoria traspira esperienza e genuinità. Tanti piatti locali, generosi e ben presentati. Sfizioso il cestino di pane fritto come benvenuto.
Non è prevista la prenotazione ma il locale è ampio, diviso in varie sale, e non abbiamo avuto alcuna difficoltà a trovare posto.
Io ho scelto un piatto di formaggi tipici locali e la generosità della porzione mi ha veramente sorpreso.
Il locale si trova a 200 mt dal centro dei “Sassi di Matera”. Abbiamo notato che è molto frequentato non soltanto da turisti ma anche da molti residenti, il che ci è sembrato un importante punto a favore.
Se avremo la fortuna di poter tornare a Matera non mancheremo questa trattoria.
