Risotto with perch exceptional, as well as the lake appetizer, spaghetti with perch, gnocchi, desserts... in short, everything! Fully satisfied with genuine but very delicate cuisine. We will definitely be back 🥰

Excellent experience at Trattoria Marano, a historic reality with over 125 years of experience. The restaurant has a large internal room with windows overlooking the lake (it is located a bit on the hill going up from Calcinate), but the real gem - when the weather permits - is the external veranda, with a wonderful and peaceful view from above on the lake. The menu is typical lakeside (many options with freshwater fish), all cooked in a simple but tasty way. We loved the chestnut gnocchi with radicchio and zola, slightly less so the asparagus crepes (the béchamel prevailed over everything). The final pampered and pistachio cake is spectacular! Correct prices (average bill €30-35 each with two dishes each, house wine, water and coffee), family service (the owner is legendary, advanced in age but with an iron memory of orders and incredible precision in service) . The reserved parking outside is also convenient, although not that large... if you don't arrive late you can easily find a place. Until next time!

A surprise, an old trattoria...which this year celebrates 125 years of activity. I went because they suggested a dish that I enjoyed twice on two different days of the week. Rice and perch, eat only that, it's plentiful. Fabulous!!! the service and the restaurant-like place where you can eat well...next time I will go in good weather and on longer days....it has a fantastic view...

Locale semplice. Estrema cortesia del cameriere che ci ha servito. Cibo veramente molto buono, ho ordinato un antipasto misto ( salumi e formaggi) e gnocchetti di castagne al gorgonzola, semplicemente superlativi . La torta l'abbiamo portata noi, prenotata in una pasticceria di nostra fiducia, ma i dolci che venivano serviti agli altri commensali erano una gioia per gli occhi , ma credo , soprattutto per il palato! Raccomando a tutti questo ristorante , ci torneremo senz'altro. Grazie

18/05/2024: Excellent food, especially the fish. Portions of fish as large as mussels are difficult to find. Homemade tiramisu made to perfection and so good, a must try when they make it!! Spotless room and bathroom. The owners take great care of it.
02/05/2024: Simple place that amazed me! Good and sincere cuisine. Fresh fish cooked in a simple but very satisfying way. Family run, very friendly and helpful owners. Worthy of note are the scialatielli with lobster and the crunchy, non-greasy mixed fried food, impeccable and delicious! Very honest prices! Advise!

Ristorante Pizzeria Desiree

26/03/2024: Chance discovery, recommended by three people from the town whom I asked for a place without too many pretensions to eat a pizza 🍕 and continue on my way. The three of them agreed that he should go to Desirée. The place is divided into two, where the pizza is made and the restaurant, tables and a very cozy atmosphere, with posters of old newspaper covers and a warm interior with bottles of wine and other more vintage decoration, without a reservation they gave me a table and in I was immediately attended to. I let myself be recommended by the waiter and tried the caprese pizza, with a ball of delicious buffalo mozzarella, their cherry tomatoes and basil, a local beer and that's it. Being staying in the Hotel that is at the end of the town (Dolce Milano Malpensa) it seems that this restaurant has an agreement, so to my pleasant surprise, they offered to take me to the hotel, which is a couple of km from there, being doubly grateful, one for the food and another for the great attention. Without a doubt if you go to Somma Lombardo keep this review in mind. Thank you very much 🫂.
24/03/2024: Excellent value for money, the whole team is very friendly and the pizzas are excellent. I recommend it.
