SERVICE: very polite and helpful staff, they also speak English. Super fast service. MENU of the day: Exquisite and abundant dishes. Above average quality. We went for lunch on a Monday, five of us plus a child. They also proposed to change the pasta format for the child. We ate: 0. Platter of cold cuts + swordfish carpaccio. 1. Paccheri with fish €13 2. Crespelle lasagne with vegetables, sausage and brie €12 3. Risotto with porcini mushrooms and scallops €12 4. Fusilloni with meat sauce €9 DESSERTS: Wonderfully good. 1. Apple pie 2. Lemon tart with light meringue 3. Pastiera 4. Layered chocolate cake

15/05/2024: Ho pranzato in questo ristorante una domenica di maggio con mio marito. Iniziamo col dire che il tavolo che ci è stato assegnato non era in una buona posizione (zona di passaggio), abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di prosciutto crudo e burratina, niente di eccezionale, il prosciutto era molto salato e la burrata un po’ più consistente rispetto a quello che ci si aspetta. Abbiamo poi preso il frico, che sembra essere il piatto forte della casa ma sinceramente mi ha un po’ delusa. La porzione troppo abbondante per due persone, dopo un po’ ci si stanca di mangiare qualcosa con lo stesso gusto. In fine, la cosa che non ho capito è stata la carta dei dolci:tutti di ispirazione partenopea che sinceramente cozza con lo spirito del ristorante che propone piatti friulani. Non da ultimo il servizio, veramente troppo frettoloso, sembrava avessero fretta di mandarci a casa.

21/02/2024: Temperatura polare con correnti d'aria gelata, per rendere la serata più frizzante: abbiamo cenato con il cappotto. Alcuni piatti che ci sono stati serviti non corrispondevano a quanto ordinato, ma li abbiamo tenuti ugualmente. Per concludere il prezzo era caro e arrotondato per difetto dal " simpatico" gestore. Ha la velleità di presentarsi come un "locale alternativo", ma preferirei meno "poesia " e più professionalità...

14/05/2024: Il Vecchio Caffè is a historic place that has changed management a few years ago, improving what was already excellent. The selection of pizzas is extraordinary, combinations of refined and perfect flavours, the dough of their pizzas is easily digestible, light and fragrant, the result of a long and careful leavening. It is possible to choose between two shapes of pizza (round or rectangular) with two different doughs, one softer and one crunchier. The welcome and service are excellent, the staff are courteous and I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a pizza. Absolutely recommended!

Chiedono in cucina. Dalla cucina il cuoco guarda fuori forse per vedere chi eravamo. E da lì nessuna risposta. Ce ne andiamo…
