Antico Guelfo In Vicenza

A hidden GEM in Vicenza! Just awesome place. I visited it with my mother last summer, and we are going back to Vicenza JUST for this restaurant. A WONDERFUL experience. Highly recommended!

I went to eat at Antico Guelfo tonight for the first time. I ate a mixture of meats and fish and I must say that I ate very well. The dishes, all from the appetizer to the dessert included, were exquisite. I tasted seasonal dishes which turned out to be one better than the other accompanied by a selection of equally excellent wines. Excellent, really. Just as the service of the two waitresses was excellent, extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable. The environment is small in the sense that it does not host many tables inside and this makes it welcoming and intimate at the same time, more elegant than a classic tavern because there is no possibility of too much confusion due to the presence of so many people as in this period A typical tavern. There is a wood-burning fireplace which heats the environment and makes it familiar even for children (by booking in advance the staff organizes the tables, preparing them according to needs, also providing high chairs for children). I highly recommend going and eating there at least once if you can. The dishes that I definitely recommend tasting are the cod ribs and the raw red prawns, both extremely delicate and very fresh, the first pasta dishes - especially the one with venison ragù and the one with duck sauce baked in foil - and the second courses , especially the cod creamed with polenta and the duck leg with pumpkin and chestnuts. Among the desserts, I highly recommend the pear in red wine with homemade vanilla ice cream (of this dessert in particular I found the ice cream exceptional both in terms of goodness, flavor and consistency).

E' un ristorante in cui ci si sente accolti sempre, anche quando si arriva all'ultimo minuto e la cucina sta per chiudere. Adatto a piccoli numeri, silenziosissimo, non serve alzare la voce per parlare. Piatti della tradizione (il baccalà c'è sempre) oppure originali (il riso venere è buonissimo). Adatto a chi si trova a pranzare da sola.

Ambiente curato ed elegante. Bellissimo il caminetto. Personale professione che cerca di dare massima attenzione ma sono in pochi quindi a locale pieno i tempi sono o troppo brevi o troppo lunghi. Cibo buono ma manca di effetto wow. Sono arrivata qui grazie dalle buone recensioni del non glutine. Lo fanno, ma con un sovrapprezzo. Pane 4 euro. Pasta 2 euro in più.

L'atmosfera elegante e ricercata saltano subito agli occhi. La qualità della materia prima e della cucina ugualmente attenta e pregiata, ma è nel servizio che si distinguono. La cura e l'attenzione verso il cliente sono ineguagliabili. Il personale sa veramente guidare gli ospiti verso un'esperienza rilassante, informata e cortese.

Dopo una innumerevole serie di telefonate (senza conclusione: tutto pieno!), mi sono imbattuto in questo ristorante, nella classifica dei ristoranti a Vicenza. Ho fortuntamente trovato l'ultimo tavolo (4 persone). Arrivati nel ristorante ci siamo subito imbattuti nella splendida ambientazione, decisamente cozy. Il personale è stato caloroso e gentilissimo, dall'accoglienza fino al saldo del conto. Abbiamo mangiato da dio: qualità indiscutibile delle materie prima, tempi di cottura impeccabili, servizio di alta fascia e prezzi decisamente in linea con quanto offerto. Ritorneremo sicuramente quando passeremo per Vicenza. Super!
