Very good Easter lunch. Typical local dishes, with some really good off-menu specials. Very friendly and helpful staff with excellent advice on what to take, fair value for money. The place isn't very big so it's best to book. If like us you don't know where to eat in Florence, you're on the safe side here

Marco splendido ospite! Ambiente confortevole, “caloroso”! Polpette di bollito da urlo! Tortelloni di pasta fresca cacio e pepe irrinunciabili! Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

La cena è stata ottima dall’antipasto al dolce. Le polpette di bollito sono da non perdere ! Grazie a Marco per l’accoglienza splendida, che fa sentire come a casa. Speriamo di tornare presto !

Wow! Our family of 6 loved this wonderful little locals restaurant. We ate here for dinner twice in 3 days. Service was friendly and we were treated like family. The food was outstanding Tuscan fare with pasta, meats, and cheeses; traditional yet unique in its flavors and combinations. The Cervelle Fritti was just like my Nona’s. The Fiode were the best ever. I would fly back to Firenze for another opportunity to experience this restaurant.

01/04/2024: Ambiance: elegant, simple and very pleasant Food: clean, fresh, tasty and also very pretty on the eyes Service: They need more than 5 stars because they take care of every little thing, especially the small customers (children) are also very important. All I can say is that everyone leaves Gilo more than satisfied. 😊😊
