Cecchini is an intelligent man. Meanwhile he achieved notoriety before the advent of social media, as a butcher poet, defender of the Chianina tradition. Intelligently capitalizing on his fame, he maintained the business by integrating it with the restaurant business. With all this, he managed not to turn into a character, an affable character with a quick joke to impress tourists. Instead, he maintains a sort of reserve which perhaps also hides a certain shyness of character.
If the prices of the products (especially under glass) in the butcher's shop are "important" (not to say expensive), however the fixed menu offered at lunch has (again a sign of intelligence) popular prices, just as the choice to join diners to the same table. The menu offers a compendium of the offer plan of the products on sale in the butcher's shop, plus some side vegetables. The dishes are simply exquisite and, regardless of the preparation and processing of the chosen cut, always well centered on the flavors of the meat. All washed down with a treacherous Chianti, served in a flask. It's worth the visit.

More than a lunch I would say a real experience. Dario is always engaging, you can tell he knows what he's doing and he really likes being around people. Absolute quality meat and abundant dishes that "justify" those €50 fixed menu. I think it's a must try at least once for meat lovers. Magnificent location surrounded by greenery.

Experience to do and do again and do again. Book in advance on the site, better during the week. Aperitif in the street then you are overwhelmed by the meat, wine and joy. At a reasonable price you get a different carnivorous experience.
