We discovered this wonderful place 2 years ago. This is the second time we go and the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and pay attention to every detail. I highly recommend trying it if you are in Bormio. We will definitely be back!

Lovely restaurant, great food and excellent service. I had the octopus while my wife had the baked ricotta with caramelised onion. I chose the beef cooked in Barolo, wife had sea bream. Both delicious. Desserts very good, particularly the muscat with grappa. Perfetto.

Beautiful discovery in the center of Bormio.
We were there in early February, as a birthday present from my boyfriend.
This is not the classic typical Valtellina restaurant, but offers a variety of typically Piedmontese dishes.
The dishes chosen, from the starter to the dessert, were really good and had the right portions.
The idea of a wine shop inside the restaurant is beautiful, with the possibility of accessing it and personally choosing what to drink, accompanied by an expert.
Excellent and attentive service.

Edificio storico, molto ben arredato con gusto e raffinata tradizione.
Lo Chef Claudio porta la sua “piemontesita’” senza però tradire la Valtellina.
Tutti gli antipasti sono imperdibili, ma non si può sbagliare nessun piatto.
La formula “enoteca” è poi imbattibile: la Sig.ra Cristina propone il meglio e soprattutto consente di scegliere direttamente dagli scaffali, con una formula molto gradita e che offre una scelta estremamente vasta a prezzi imbattibili.
Per noi, non sarebbe Bormio senza “Il Guanella”.

Siamo tornati a distanza di un anno e si è dimostrato sempre all’altezza…gnocchi con ragout di cervo e filetto di cervo semplicemente meravigliosi. Gentilissimi, ospitali e Davide sempre numero 1 nella scelta dei vini! Torneremo anche l’anno prossimo!
