I’m writing this half way through the tasting menu because I truly can’t believe how incredible this food is. This is the go to spot for seafood in Firenze. The best and freshest seafood preparation I’ve had in my life. Get out of the tourist hot spots and give her a try!

Bel ristorante di Pesce in zona centrale a Firenze. Ambiente e servizio curato, pesce fresco ben preparato. Da provare paccheri con orata e pistacchi! Carta dei Vini ampia e particolare, mediamente un po’ cara…

Bel ristorante in zona centrale di Firenze… tutto molto curato: ambiente, servizio e piatti. Pesce fresco ben preparato, da provare i Paccheri all’orata e pistacchi. Scenografici (e ottimi) i dolci preparati al tavolo. Carta dei vini ampia e particolare, mediamente un po’ cara.

Gastone is a very nice restaurant with a fish menu. The welcome was warm and pleasant. The menu and wine list are very detailed with a great choice. Fresh and light dishes. We really liked it.

Everything is delicious, the tartares are fantastic and the pistachio and sea bream pesto is among the best dishes I have ever tasted. Highly recommended

Gastone is a security, as well as a treat on the palate. The croaker tartare was amazing, I hope it comes back on the menu!

We had dined here last year and loved it. Although arriving it does not look like an amazing place dont judge by the lack of opulence. We iterally ordered only appetizers - they were so good. The grilled octopus with eggplant and sauce Wes amazing. Surprisingly the slow cooked calamari was cold but that did not detract from the beautiful flavor. The shrimp, calamari and leek was magnificent. We ended with the phenomenal apple tart that I loved from last year and the molten lava cake was wonderfully with the stream of lava oozing out.

07/04/2024: This is a place that may have certainly deserved its mentions in the Michelin guide over the years. But that was 2018 and before. I can see that there has not been much innovation in the last six years. I feel they should certainly innovate and stop riding on the coat tails of their past Michelin mentions. The Michelin guide is about paying homage to real tradition and constant culinary innovation. In 2024 this place is neither. The food was though well executed. The plating was outdated but everything was worth the visit.
04/04/2024: The best dish among all is bacalhau! Super flavorful, juicy and crunchy! But their beef pasta- beef is a lil dry and hard :S Seafood risotto is very interesting with the white sour cream. Wish they could have more seafood inside..

Casa Masi

06/04/2024: A Long Term favorite of us. Hidden in the lovely tuscan Landscape Casa Masi offers tranquility, good food and great vines. We enjoyed every minute.
05/04/2024: Very beautiful location. Dinner for 2 based on Florentine steak... good quality meat. Average price. Perhaps the preparation of some waiters needs to be improved.
