Phenomenal food and excellent wine list. The amatriciana was one of the best I’ve ever had, and a pleasant surprise. The beef tartare was strange and I’m not sure I’d get it again. For my main, I chose the pan fried lamb and my wife chose the eggplant and both were wonderful. Our reservation was after sunset, which was a bummer. I imagine the rooftop would have been incredible at dusk.

I came for the rooftop views. I left still thinking about the pasta. I'd read online that this restaurant is a great place to eat because it offers good food and rooftop dining. What I didn't consider is that it was November. The restaurant normally serves in two spaces - the rooftop and a downstairs dining room. Because it was November, the rooftop was closed and the downstairs restaurant was deserted. No problem! I got the place to myself and a very friendly wait staff. A waiter brought a tray of snacks for me to nibble on while I studied the menu. It had been a long, tiring day, and it was so nice to relax with a glass of wine and leisurely decide what I wanted to eat for dinner. The wait staff didn't rush me but busied themselves nearby in case I had a question. They're top notch, and I kind of felt like a VIP since I was the only one dining. Now, for the food ... I ordered Pasta Amatriciana and cleaned my plate. It was divine. I may have cried a little when I got back to the U.S. and discovered that pork cheek isn't readily available, but I don't know that I would be able to recreate this. It was so fresh with crispy bits of meat in a smooth, flavorful sauce. I'm still thinking about that pasta all these months later. It was that good.

Locale Pazzesco, servizio incredibile. Siamo stati a cena il 18/11 in occasione del compleanno di mia moglie. Trattati benissimo con una cucina ricercata e prelibata. Servizio di sala attento e presente per ogni nostra esigenza. Torneremo senz'altro.
