Il Ristoro della Pe' In Pisa

We visited this place several times during a week-long trip to Italy. We tried several dishes from the menu and were very pleased. Everything was delicious, the portions were very large! The service made us feel very comfortable :) If you want to eat here, we encourage you to make a reservation. Thank you very much and we will definitely come back next time we are nearby :)

Simply spectacular. We went on the recommendation of an Italian friend. The place is small and authentic, the complete opposite of the tourist restaurants that are in the area. The staff is lovely, both the waiters and the chef. The quality of the pasta is BRUTAL, really delicious. We tried the pasta with tartufo and sausage, and the ragù. The tiramisu is from another world. Recommended 100%

We ate LUXURY. The restaurant is very simple with an open kitchen and old rock music in the background. I wish I could come back and eat here every day!

Fabulous food in a lovely wee restaurant we had booked, so we had a seat inside with the chef cooking in front of us. Service was great, really friendly. Interesting quirky decor... background music was Madness and SKA. Get booking folks you will not be disappointed.

Food was not only the best I had in Pisa but possibly in Italy and also my life! One chef in a tiny restaurant creating everything from scratch absolutely incredible and the service was so intimate, Ami you beautiful soul you made my night and for anyone reading this, she’ll make yours too!! Worth a stop if you are in the centre. Very few places, and it's worth it. Nice and helpful girls. Really good dishes, and plentiful The chef cooks behind you and you can see everything he does and how he cooks. Super valid and approved See you next time 💪🏼

Buenisimo! Probamos la pasta a la carbonara y otros espaguettis con salchicha y tartufo increible. De postre panna cota de pistacho. El camarero y la cocinera son un encanto. Nos vamos mañana pero sino repetiríamos seguro ❤️

We found this restaurant via TripAdvisor as it's not obvious how good it is if you simply walked past. There is almost no seating inside, so you have to sit outside, which gets busy very quickly when they open. The service was a bit slow, but all the food is cooked fresh & tasted divine! We had a meat & cheese platter for our shared starter & it tasted as good as it looked. I had a tagliatelle bolognese for my main & it was cooked well as it was soft & tasty. The waitress was very friendly. The only issue I had was that there were many small black flies that kept landing on all the tables, so you had to be very aware to make sure they didn't get onto your food/drink, which I found very annoying. The restaurant were aware as they tried turning the outside table lights off, which helped a bit, but as there are streetlights right above the outside tables, the flies were clearly attracted to this area when we were there. Maybe we were unlucky with our timings & this is not normally an issue...no-one else mentions this in other reviews, but I feel the need to at least mention it "just in case" it may bother you. This wouldn't be an issue at lunchtime in daylight I presume, but it was evening when we were eating. Apart from this, I'd highly recommend this small, charming place to eat as the food was simply delicious & all homemade.
