Interesting variants of dishes that I knew. Wonderful care of the staff. A nice place to have dinner with friends in an interesting place on the island of Ortigia.

Very good but not great. And, a little expensive. We can highly recommend the mussels with gorgonzola - one of the most interesting and tasty dishes we've eaten. The seafood carbonara was loaded with seafood. The fish matalot and ravioli trapenese were good. Make a reservation. There can be a lot of street noise depending on what's going on (we experienced kids playing in the street and babies crying).

Piccolo ristorante con cucina a vista. Veloce e professionale il servizio, molto carina la sala, vicina a uno dei mercati all'aperto di Ortigia, sempre più bella. I piatti sono ben eseguiti è saporiti, utilizzando pesci e crostacei freschissimi. Prezzi in linea con la qualità dei piatti. Consigliato

We were lucky enough to get a table without reservations. That was simply the best food we had in Sicily. The sardines “sandwiches” are a must !!

Our first of 2 nights in Ortigia we had not booked a dinner reservation and were wandering around and ended up back in the mercato where we had lunch earlier in the day. We noticed this place was already bustling and asked if they could take us. They had one table available without a reservation so we grabbed it. All of the waiters were wonderful and the food was excellent. We had the seared tuna plate and burrata raviolis and shrimp. Be sure to book ahead!

01/04/2024: High level restaurant located at the Carlentini exit. Very elegant place, very professional chef and very kind staff. I opted for a pizza with cereal dough, perfect cooking and quality ingredients. For dessert we were offered fried raviolini with ricotta and pistachio nutella, fabulous. Wide choice of wines, varied choice of fixed menus, possibility of choosing between land and sea dishes and pizzas with three different types of dough. Next time we will try the seafood dishes.
25/03/2024: Stopped thanks to the advice of other users on Google. We had a wonderful lunch and in every dish you could see the passion for cooking and it was very well looked after. A pleasure for smell, taste and sight. Strong flavors that taste of Sicily made with the freshest products. From appetizer to dessert, it was truly a spectacle. Truly compliments to this chef. It's a shame to live far away!

04/04/2024: Overall, we had an OK (on the level of a Michelin star restaurant) experience at this restaurant. We had the meat 5-course tasting menu. The first amuse bouche was excellent: a “fake” oliver with lots of aromas inside. The following two dishes (egg with truffle, artichoke) were nothing special and even lacked some flavour. The Primo pasta dish was very good, as well as the Secondo main dish, although not much can go wrong with the goulash-type of sauce for this kind of dish. The dessert, cannoli with ice cream, was very good but again, lacked a bit of creativity for a michelin star restaurant.The service was so-so: they first couldnt find our reservation and had to spell out the name twice; they seem to have never heard of sharing one wine pairing menu with two (1/2 a glass each), as we are moderate drinkers, which is very common for this level of restaurants; and at the end they forgot to pass by to ask if we wanted any coffee or tea, so we just paid and left.
03/04/2024: Amy wife and I went on the off season so it was easy to get a mid-week table. The food was traditional Sicilian food done to an exceptional level with a bit of theatre built in. The service was great. The atmosphere was very pleasant especially for privacy, I have marked it down purely on personal preference for a more active environment.
