On a trip with my wife to Orvieto, among the various places to have lunch, La Locanda del Lupo stands out, a very nice, evocative, welcoming, original, well-kept and clean location. We order an appetizer from the inn for two (typical local cured meats and bruschetta with vegetables), fresh pasta carbonara with fresh truffle and ossobuchi with au gratin polenta. Everything excellent, without flaws, fast service, kind and knowledgeable waitresses. And the desserts deserve special praise. Absolutely not to be missed if you pass through these parts, highly recommended. Thanks and congratulations!

Very nice place, furnished with vintage objects such as mirrors with decorated frames, an old phonograph, a piano, a grape crusher. Relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Very good and fresh traditional dishes, in quantity they are not excessive and the prices are normal. Highly recommended!!!

Too bad we can't give more stars Divinely eaten in a beautiful setting. The kindness of the waiters reigns supreme. Highly recommended!!!! For the service and goodness, low prices.

Umbricelli's porcini & truffle was the perfect combination menu for me. The boletus is probably pickled in salt water, but the flavor is not lost and the saltiness actually enhances the wine. The truffles were much more fragrant than the truffles I had eaten at other restaurants the day before, and the truffle aroma lingered for a long time. They use more olive oil and garlic than other restaurants, and it's very satisfying. The lady who was managing the floor by herself was also very kind and had a wonderful smile. It was a great night in Orvieto.

Ambiente tranquillo, mangiato cose semplici ma buone. Antipasto di affettati locali, Polenta con spuntature e salsicce, vino della casa. Soddisfatti.

✅ Conosciuto per caso durante una visita ad Orvieto. Locale squisito accogliente e di uno stile che aMo.. le proposte della cucina carine e alcune interessanti. Abbiamo ordinato una “vellutata di zucca” dove a sorpresa abbiamo trovato anche delle castagne a pezzi.(fortunatamente nessuno di noi era allergico) Un piatto di umbriachelli con Porcini e Tartufo….Molto Buoni Per secondo un coniglio porchettato, nn male se non per i pezzettini di ossicini all’interno. TUTTO BUONO Comunque TORNEREMO. ✅ Consigliato da LO.VE di Gusto

30/03/2024: Today, together with my parents and grandparents we had lunch in this small restaurant located in the center of Orvieto. The place is clean and I deduce it has been recently renovated, with a simple and rustic but refined style. As soon as they arrived at the table they promptly brought bread and water. We had a total of five first courses: umbrichelli (a type of typical local pasta similar to spaghetti but more homemade) alla amatriciana and umbrichelli alla cave (seasoned with pistachio and bacon). Pasta cooked just right and abundant, fresh sauces. As second courses we ordered two grilled steaks and two mixed salads. These are good too. Then we had 5 desserts (tiramisu, pannacotta and chocolate and caramel mousse) which were also very good. Finally, we ordered 4 coffees and two bitters. The service was excellent: waiters attentive, kind and fast. To underline the professionalism, friendliness and friendliness of the waiter Franco who welcomed us and served us with familiarity. The price, bearing in mind that the restaurant is located in the centre, is modest. Right quality/price.
