La Preferita Pasticceria In Alcamo

12/10/2023: Beautiful evening, dream location and delicious food.

07/10/2023: We decided to try this trattoria after seeing the episode of 4 Ristoranti with Alessandro Borghese. The place is located behind Khamma, perhaps in the evening it is a little inconvenient to reach it given the poor lighting in the streets (be careful though, it's a bit of a problem for Pantelleria, not for the restaurant). We parked in the car park, which was very spacious and convenient as it was just outside the venue. As soon as we arrived we immediately fell in love with the way the place is furnished, both in the internal and external rooms. Our dinner began with a local starter consisting of a portion of caponata, fried octopus and eggplant parmigiana meatballs, all three superb! As the first course we were inspired by the seafood carbonara, the busiate with bruciola sauce and the caper paté pasta with breadcrumbs; one truly better than the other, very honest portions and fair prices given the quality of the ingredients. All this accompanied by an excellent local Zibibbo wine. We end the evening with some desserts, a pistachio semifreddo and a decomposed cannoli, which are also excellent. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. After this dinner we can confirm that Runcune is one of the best trattorias on the island, we will definitely be back!
