Place with a nice atmosphere. Near the center. Free parking nearby. Known above all for their burgers of various kinds, delicious, served with a choice of 4 ingredients and chips. Also available is a small choice of starters, first courses, second courses and desserts. All prepared by their kitchen. Vegetarian alternatives. Maddalena looked after us, a very kind person. Prices are appropriate for the food eaten and the service offered. Advise!

Ho adorato questo posto per il suo menu gluten free ad un prezzo perfino più basso rispetto ad altri concorrenti non gluten free. Super consigliato, camerieri super gentili e preparati sulla questione glutine.

Tipico locale con parvenze di osteria ed un tocco che lo fa somigliare ad un locale anglosassone. Lo staff e’ molto cordiale e competente, si denota fin da subito che si ha a che fare con persone preparate, con anni di lavoro alle spalle. Ottimo il cibo, piatti curati sotto ogni punto di vista, ed un plauso alle torte che fanno fortemente la differenza. Avrei gradito un po’ più di calore (come temperatura) e un po’ di musica sottofondo.

Che si scelgano gli hamburger o i piatti del menù (sapientemente cambiati stagione dopo stagione), La Vecchia Varese non delude mai. L'ambiente è simile a quello di un vecchio circolo, il personale - sempre lo stesso da anni - è gentile, preparato e allegro. Qui si va sul sicuro.

26/03/2024: Tidy and well set up place, friendly and very knowledgeable staff. We ate a fish first course, a mixed fried dish and pizza, all excellent. I recommend it, also because the prices are really modest compared to the quality of the meals.
26/03/2024: Best Italian food we had! We went to Milan Venice Rome Pisa and this one won!!!

20/03/2024: Went for lunch: We ate a second course (tartare and tagliatelle) and a dessert and spent €90 for 2 with wine. Good meat, correct portions not abundant. Very elaborate dessert but definitely expensive. I would suggest less elaboration and lower price. Place not to my tastes. Dark, well frescoed walls: but we won't be back.
28/02/2024: Bel locale, pulito, elegante seppur affollato non troppo rumoroso. Pizza con cornicione alto buona, abbiamo inoltre mangiato antipasto, primi , secondo e dolci , tutti ottimi. Personale educato, cordiale e rapido. Prezzi nella norma.
