Saw this place on a Rick Steves program and instantly became a must. Loved everything about it…fun place with local character off the tourist path. Met Bruno, who was quite fun and friendly. If you want to enjoy wine or other drinks one afternoon in Volterra this is a great place for it. My wife loved their Tuscan Gin so much we bought a bottle.

Il Gozzo cucina di Mare

02/04/2024: I was with my girlfriend at Gozzo on Friday evening 29 March 2024. Starting from the service, they were impeccable but don't expect a formal environment, because the owner and all the staff are nice and super welcoming. As for the food, the quality of the catch is exceptional, but not only that, the raw material is treated and cooked to perfection. The dishes are enjoyable, tasty and also refined. The quality/price ratio is crazy, eating a giant plate of raw fish, two super abundant first courses, a very fresh fish fry, dessert, water and a bottle of wine we spent less than 50 euros each. Thanks to all the staff at Gozzo, if we happen to return to Pisa this will be a must!

03/04/2024: Excellent food, albeit in modest quantities. Refined flavors. We took two first courses, two second courses, a dessert and three bottles of water for a cost of 150 euros
