If there is anyone who can remind us what it means to feel the tasty and original flavor of giardiniera, mustard, cracklings, crackers, tortelli, focaccia, condiment sauces, leavened sweets, creams and desserts, but at the same time combine well-known flavors with a touch innovative and experimental, this is the group of young chefs at Scalco Grasso. Worth trying, for the care taken in the conception and preparation, the attention to every detail and the pleasure of eating delicacies.

There were 2 of us for lunch and the experience was fantastic. They have both tasting menus and à la carte menus. After ordering we were immediately offered an entrée of a fried meatball with anchovies, really excellent. We took two first courses, the typical Mantua pumpkin tortelli, one Mantuan-style and one with butter, both exceptional, generous proportions, 5 stars. Then we had a dessert, freshly made rose cake with lemon zabaglione, truly sublime. Impeccable and friendly service, soft atmosphere and refined furnishings. The focaccia was also very good, with which I made an incredible shoe!

Nice and clean place, super welcome... the eye plays its part here but the taste even more so!! The chef who came to meet my vegetarian girlfriend and offered to modify her dish for her was also fantastic... not everyone does this... professional and courteous service, we left satisfied! For both couples and families/friends, recommended...

Capitati per caso seguendo le indicazioni di TA, ho prenotato questo locale arrivando a Mantova. Piacevole il locale, moderno, nel centro a due passi da un ampio parcheggio. Gestione attenta e presente. Siamo rimasti colpiti dalla qualità della proposta. Abbiamo preso un tagliere di salumi con giardiniera, mostarda e formaggio, tutto ottimo. Abbiamo proseguito con spaghetti al nero di seppia e capesante ed un timballo di riso e rognone. Entrambi superlativi. Da diverso tempo non rimanevo colpito dalla cucina. Annotato per il prossimo passaggio. Consiglio vivamente a chi sia in zona. Complimenti allo staff del locale, ci rivedrete spero presto.

Ottimo ristorante a due passi dal centro
