And perhaps the most famous trattoria in Castel D'Ario, they serve an excellent risotto, if I hadn't made a comparison with 2 other nearby trattorias I would have given 5 stars, but in terms of goodness and abundance of condiments (I would skip it) I found it half a step below the most direct competitors

It's always a pleasant return to the risotto alla pilota or with the addition of puntel, always excellent staff and very kind owners and excellent value for money.

Excellent place, clean, good service and I found them friendly and nice, there is an air of times gone by. I ate the risotto with salamella, a dish I know well, and found it very good. I will definitely go back. I recommend you try the cheeses.

Full-blown trattoria, kindness, exquisite food, professional and accurate service. One of the best "pilot rice with Puntel" eaten lately. Very abundant, delicate and at the same time fragrant. Two of us had dinner, unfortunately we were in a hurry, but the rice with puntel was magnificent. Abundant rice, wine, water and coffee, less than 50 euros for two. Optimal

Tradition and professionalism. Quality raw materials. One of the 5 best "risotto alla pilota" in the Mantua area and also notable is the "risotto with passatelli" (fried river prawns)

Era da tempo che non avevo l'occasione di passare in questo ristorante, la ns. passione per il risotto alla pilota ed è sempre una conferma per qualità, servizio e un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, è sempre la miglior scelta in zona. Complimenti

Ristorante di altri tempi. Servizio, cucina e bere come una volta, dove il cliente viene servito e trattato da primo attore. Ovviamente i risotti sono i registri. I formaggi sono tentatori, i dolci corrompono l'animo. Prezzi alla portata, parcheggio in loco. Consiglio prenotazione. Locale molto consigliato. Novembre 2023.

20/03/2024: THE TRADITION OF GOOD CUISINE CONTINUES: it was no longer in the past after Vania took over....I had good memories and I feared change; I was happy with it: except for some dishes, the others are traditional and intelligently revisited: use of spices, which is rare, very delicate in complementary flavors to enhance the raw material of the dish. Only note... eliminate the Lambrusco at €10, not because it's low priced (well done) but because the blend of grapes just isn't right, at the same price you can find peasant Viadanese (like Corte Frati or Reggiani like Settecani) which is more full-bodied and balanced without cost increases. However, congratulations to the two chefs who were able to adapt well to tradition without distorting it.
