Excellent tavern with typical Apulian cuisine in Ceglie. The restaurant is rustic and very welcoming and offers the opportunity to try many traditional dishes. Polite and helpful staff and the owner is really very accommodating. The house starter is excellent, recommended with a good homemade red wine. Truly sublime first courses and roasts. Absolutely worth a try if you are in the area.

I have just eaten in this tavern, despite the appearance of the place, I must say that the food is excellent, spectacular like eating at home and the portions are crazy, the same goes for the attentive and attentive service, we just need to improve something here and there about the place then it's top

We had dinner in this tavern last night, from the moment we made the reservation by telephone Mr. Giuseppe appeared kind and attentive. Once on site everything was a confirmation, excellent homemade food, availability and kindness of the unique staff, Mr. Giuseppe spectacular! I recommend anyone who is in Ceglie to go and savor the old traditional flavors... accompanied by a beautiful atmosphere... we will definitely be back! P.s. I'm lactose intolerant, and this was the only place where I actually didn't feel sick afterwards! All genuine! Compliments.

Excellent typical products and sublime cuisine

Cibo casereccio ottimo, prezzo ottimo, e servizio ottimo. (cameriere impeccabile e simpaticissimo) Torneremo!

Su consiglio di mia figlia per il pranzo di domenica 28 gennaio siamo stati all'osteria da Giuseppe .Eravamo in 4 e il cibo proposto è stato ottimo e il  simpatico titolare Giuseppe si mette subito a disposizione per qualsiasi occorrenza. L'osteria è piccola ma molto calda e accogliente  e il servizio è veloce  . Abbiamo preso l'antipasto della casa che consiglio perché è ottimo e abbondante. Come primo piatto abbiamo scelto Tagliatelle ai funghi e Pasta con Pesto di Rucola . Di secondo un arrosto misto e per finire ci sono stati offerti dei dolcini fatti da loro. Sicuramente ci saranno altre occasioni per ritornare in questa location che consiglio sia per la qualità dei prodotti e sia per il prezzo pagato . 5 stelle meritate .

Un posto nascosto nel centro del paese ma sicuramente da ricercare. Cucina casalinga , genuina, senza fronzoli. Un posto speciale per degustare cibi preparati con semplicità e gusto con prodotti genuini . Proprietario gentilissimo e pronto alle richieste. Spartano ma ottimo per chi cerca la cucina genuina, sembra che un amico ti abbia invitato a casa. A me è piaciuto.

There on a Wednesday in the off season – whole town seemed shut down. Only restaurant we could find that was open. Very small sign, easy to miss. Doesn’t look like a restaurant from the outside. You walk through the service area to get to the dining rooms. Simple, plain interior. Staff spoke enough English to be helpful. Also heard them speaking French. No paper menus, just a chalkboard. Only 6 items or so. Antipasta assortment, 2 pastas, 4 meats. We went with the antipasta assorment. Got 8 or so dishes of fresh or pickled veggies, a few cold cuts and some cheese and bread. It was enough to fill us up. Tasty and interesting. To be honest, though, without having a cooked dish, it’s kinda hard to rate this restaurant as we don’t really know what the chef can do. But we don’t want a big meal at every meal when traveling. The cooked dishes were all very local, including horse meat.
