Puro - ristorante giapponese In Polignano a mare

I wanted to celebrate my Easter in this boutique. Five stars are not enough, the level of Japanese gastronomy is very high and is recommended more for a gourmet and not... We actually ate some sushi which I would define as "THE Original". The location is perfect, the location is strategic, the food is excellent, the service is impeccable, there are all the ingredients to do well and to continually improve. I recommend it and I think we'll meet again soon. Thanks for everything and good luck to you. I leave some photos for my presence.

I would like to start by saying that the quality of the raw materials is evident and can be found in the dishes served, but a good restaurant is not just this. The owners themselves proved to be in difficulty in managing the service, from drinks to dishes! Certainly kind, but opening a bottle of wine at the table means staying at the table for the tasting, and not walking away and then returning with, perhaps, another bottle and handing me the cork to check for defects. In fact, the wine did not appear with a color suitable for the young vintage shown on the bottle label and the taste was interesting and certainly evolved, but not young and mineral as the origin and variety of the vine generally express. The waiter himself took care to carry out the pouring at our table, but it's a pity that he didn't have the slightest knowledge of the product that the place offers, Japanese cuisine! we paid more than €100 per person, and the dishes were gourmet certainly for the quantity, a little less for the true concept of gourmet cuisine but the service was not up to par, and from the final bill a customer expects a service worthy of be defined as such, knowledge of the proposed product is fundamental! It's a shame...as often happens in Puglia in the restaurant industry, those who don't have teeth have bread!

This restaurant is not of earthly nature. The sushi variations were an experience! The fish tastes extraordinarily fresh and all the ingredients are excellently combined - always a must when you are in Italy. 👌👌👌👌

I depend on these reviews to help me decide on activities and restaurants while traveling. So when I find a particularly great spot I feel I need to share. This was a great spot. Excellent food. Very fresh. The tempura was the best we have ever had. The ambiance was amazing and the service was first rate. Definitely go! Especially, if you need a break from Italian food.
