A quiet and beautiful paradise in Upper Austria, no matter which direction you look, a view like in a picture book. The staff on site is very courteous, friendly and not artificial. You don't often find a location like this anymore.

Abbiamo cenato in coppia e devo dire tutto ottimo , il menù anche se con poca scelta ma sicuramente tutto autoctono , piatti genuini ma rivisitati e molto belli , con la possibilità di avere anche le porzioni maggiorate . Cameriera bravissima , rinnoverei il locale un po’ datato . Abbiamo preso 1 antipasto 1 primo 1 secondo e 1 dolce 2 bicchieri di vino acqua e caffè Abbiamo speso 100€

29/03/2024: Restaurant at the @tyrolhotel. Its name means at the top. It has two tasting and à la carte menus with Alpine and Mediterranean dishes, with a pairing option. With a very authentic style of the area, wood panel walls, it has a very cozy and intimate atmosphere. I loved the red calf sashimi with caviar, green pici with lamb and cuttlefish ragout, sea bass with lemongrass, veal with bone marrow juice and smoked capers, and tarte tatin with salted caramel and vanilla ice cream. The pairing with the dishes was very well chosen and very well explained. It has a small main room with tables for small groups and a more private area where we had a table of 8. They have a 5-course menu for €170/pers, a 6-course menu for €185/pers. They were very friendly and took good care of us.
27/03/2024: We had lunch there today. Excellent service with very competent and friendly staff. The meals were very good. Higher level. The ambience is also very special and fits the surroundings. I can only recommend it to anyone who wants a special location and very good food.

Unterwirt

09/02/2024: The “Unterwirt” is the top culinary address in Gufidaun. Family run three man/woman restaurant. Michelin star level. Everything at its best and also unusually friendly and accommodating.
15/10/2023: Unterwirt is actually Uber Anderen. It is hard to describe the experience we enjoyed at Restaurant Unterwirt. From the moment we arrived until the second we left, it was pure bliss. Chef Thomas Haselwanter and his lovely wife Cornelia treated us like special guests. Sommelier par excellence Cornelia guided me through the extensive wine list and described the menu perfectly. After asking about allergies and individual tastes, she made some recommendations. I am not a big fan of eggs, and we joked that there is always time to change. The 1st course was an appetizer with a quail egg on top. It was great. Then we moved on to the tasting menu: meat for my wife fish for me. Braised oxtail and roast beef were delicious and ravioli, and Turbot was great. When we came to the dessert for me, it looked like a fried egg and toast. Actually, it was creme anglais and citrus sorbet, and it was spectacular. After the meal, Chef Walter joined us for a photo op and a chance to answer questions about his passion for culinary art. If you have the opportunity, make a detour and visit Unterwirt, you will not be disappointed.
