Ristorante CADO' In Cosio d'arroscia

I have rarely had such a good time as I did in this restaurant hidden in the Ligurian mountains. The quality of the food is high and the way in which it is served is refined and non-trivial. As regards the ability to adapt to critical situations due to customer allergies, I was able to observe an unparalleled versatility and then they were able to welcome us with children and a dog, things that cannot be taken for granted nowadays. In short, an elegant place to bring someone if you love them and if you want to make a good impression. Congratulations to the chef.... Of whom I share photos among "colleagues" 😜

We have been invited. Owner and staff very kind and helpful. Excellent dishes, local, very fresh, very good local wine. Furthermore, the place is tidy, very clean, with a truly beautiful view of the village. A panoramic terrace is also available for the summer.

beautiful location...in a small village lost among the streets that lead to the sea...excellent food and service, a mix of Ligurian Tuscan cuisine... availability of all team...I discovered that cado' means lavender....that's why the color is used in many things....recommended

For lunch we were the guest of a great winemaker, Mr Ramoino Domenico, in this place we ate very well, a well furnished, warm and welcoming place, a pleasant, relaxing and above all very easy to eat Sunday

I discovered this restaurant by chance, while I was planning a short tour in the Ponente hinterland, in August. It's a bit hidden (but there is a sign on the road before the town square). Cadò means "lavender" (we are in the places of lavender) and the exterior and many accessories inside are lavender-colored. The three of us had lunch there, on a 30° day, in which however the sky was merciful and covered in clouds, and we were thus able to enjoy the terrace with the view of Cosio d'Arroscia. I went back for New Year's Eve dinner (this time inside!!); 130 km to get there, but it was worth it. Great kindness and great passion of the owners, he originally from the local "doc", both with a passion for the roots of the culture and local products, both vegetables and meat, which are preferred in the preparations. Among the starters I remember the tartare with zero km meat, the roast beef with nasturtium cream, an exceptional brandacujun, the crostini with parmesan geleé and pumpkin chips: in the first courses, cappellacci with ricotta and salmon trout, gnocchi with semolina with black cabbage pesto. But there are no problems with choice, everything is fine. Among the original desserts (all homemade) are the ice cream or the lavender panna cotta, and the nougat is fabulous. Attentive and precise service, with explanations on each dish, short waiting times and a cozy atmosphere (a bit of noise yes, with full houses and New Year's Eve celebrations, but on normal days very quiet and with pleasant music).

Ho scoperto per caso questo ristorante, mentre programmavo un breve giro nell'entroterra di Ponente, in agosto. È un po' nascosto (ma c'è un cartello sulla strada prima della piazza del paese). Cadò significa "lavanda" (siamo nei posti della lavanda) e color lavanda è l'esterno e tanti accessori all'interno. Ci abbiamo pranzato in tre, in una giornata da 30°, in cui però il cielo è stato clemente e si è ricoperto di nuvole, e abbiamo così potuto godere della terrazza con la vista su Cosio d'Arroscia. Ci sono tornato per il cenone di Capodanno, (questa volta all'interno!!); 130 km per arrivarci, ma ne valeva la pena. Grande gentilezza e grande passione dei proprietari, lui originario "doc" del posto, entrambi con la passione per le radici della cultura e dei prodotti locali, sia di verdura che di carne, che vengono preferiti nelle preparazioni. Tra gli antipasti ricordo la tartare con carne a km zero, il roast beef con crema di nasturzio, un eccezionale brandacujun, il crostino con la geleé di parmigiano e i chips di zucca: nei primi, i cappellacci di ricotta e trota salmonata, gli gnocchi di semola col pesto di cavolo nero. Ma non ci sono problemi di scelta, va tutto bene. Originali tra i dessert (tutti fatti in casa) il gelato oppure la panna cotta alla lavanda, e favoloso il torrone. Servizio attento e preciso, con le spiegazioni su ciascun piatto, brevi tempi di attesa e ambiente raccolto (un po' di rumore sì, col pienone e i festeggiamenti di Capodanno, ma in giorni normali molto quieto e con musica gradevole).

Si mangia benissimo..posto curato nei particolari e personale molto gentile e professionale...

Ottimo ristorante, consigliato per passare qualche momento tranquilli a degustare qualche cibo locale !
