Very good price/quality ratio, very suggestive environment inside the castle of Formigine. Very good food with traditional local menu and much more. It is also a wine shop, so wines galore. Very attentive staff who are constantly monitoring so that you don't miss anything, even too much 😅. The deor is directly adjacent to the park inside the castle, which is decidedly pleasant.

Going for lunch and/or dinner at the Calcagnino restaurant is a pleasant experience. The castle welcomes you with its drawbridge to take you into a fairytale setting. The location is of a very high standard and the service is very good. The culinary offering is normally very good, but not always five star. This happens because the expectations of those who frequent the restaurant tend to be very high, the chef has accustomed us too well, so when he doesn't reach the top (sometimes it happens) he is a little disappointed. Price in line with the context.

Always a top place within the walls of Formigine castle. Excellent choice on the menu which varies from season to season. Gluten-free choices are also no problem.

Claudio and his staff are always top notch in terms of hospitality and kindness, just as their dishes are always a triumph of taste with quality raw materials. Very kind even to our little girls who have already asked to come back, we won't miss it. Magnificent.

Location molto bella ed accogliente.
Personale gentile e cordiale.
Piatti sia della tradizione, che innovativi, con ottimi sapori e belle presentazioni.

Ci sono stato domenica scorsa prima di prendere parte ad una visita gratuita al castello di Formigine: visto che il locale è stato ricavato in un settore del castello, non potevo non fermarmici a mangiare.
Ho preso un antipasto a base di uovo pochè ed un primo di tortellini fatti a mano in crema di parmigiano e tartufo bianco, tutto molto buono e non abbondante. Prezzo onesto: 43 € in totale.
Consigliato a chi come me voglia visitare il castello di Formigine e voglia apprezzare la cucina emiliana sia tradizionale sia un po’ rivisitata.
