Excellent experience, typical Ascoli cuisine. We took the tasting menu and discovered local products from the Marche (Carpegna raw ham). The mixed fried Ascoli style is a must try. The owner guided us in choosing the wine and fully explained the dishes made in the kitchen by his mother.

Manager, son of the wonderful cook, very kind, like the two boys in the room. The quality of the food is indisputable, the bread is not up to par with the cured meats and cheeses. The maccheroncini (like very fine tagliatelle) with a truly sublime ragù are wonderful. Impeccable crispy and dry fried food, truly exquisite tiramisu. The tasting menu formula with slightly reduced quantities allows you to appreciate everything to the fullest.

Abbiamo pranzato presso questo ristorante in occasione di una visita di Ascoli Piceno. La location è carina, si vede che è un locale storico. Il personale è gentile. I piatti da noi ordinati buoni ma non eccezionali: i funghi fritti erano piuttosto unti, le mie mezze maniche all'amatriciana sono arrivate fredde, i tagliolini ai funghi buoni.

We had an excellent lunch here with a group of friends. It was a highlight of our day trip to Ascoli Piceno. It was a lucky find because we just happened to walk past when we were hungry and starting to look for somewhere to eat. The menu is traditional Italian, with regional dishes and local wines. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be local which is always a good sign. We had all had three courses, spread over a very long and leisurely lunch. The egg chitarrine with fresh truffle was especially delicious as were the stuffed and fried olives. Service was warm and welcoming throughout the afternoon and made us feel at home and unrushed. Prices are very reasonable too. A highlight was discovering Meletti, which was first created in Ascoli Piceno. We were given a complimentary glass and it was the first time any of us had tasted this aromatic aniseed liqueur. We acquired a taste on the spot. Overall, a great meal and we would definitely go back.

23/01/2024: Historic venue located in the heart of the upper town of San Benedetto del Tronto, right in the square where the majestic and ancient tower of the old seaside village stands. The Pub has now been an institution for more than 50 years, a place that, not surprisingly, has been awarded the label of "historic place of the Marche". the spirit of the Torrione has remained unchanged, a place to come and return, where to meet and find oneself. The variety of beers on tap is excellent with an alternative proposal from a brewery in our area. Then we want to talk about the legendary complete Pastrami, a hot sandwich that you can only taste here, spiced pastrami with melted cheese, tomato and Bernese sauce, a pleasure for the palate. Very helpful and kind staff, concise and clear menu, speed of service, and in the winter season a lit fireplace that creates a warm and very welcoming atmosphere, a good price are the strong points that have made this pub a point for more than 50 years of references for everyone.. Well done
