Sushi Concept In Genova

We knew this place for Ramen, we always had a good time. Yesterday we wanted to try the Sushi part. We knew we would have spent a lot more. Unfortunately the expense did not live up to expectations. Some dishes good, others mediocre. I tried Kobe meat, renowned for its goodness and softness, I found it stringy and tiring to eat and not very tasty, the "medium rare" they brought me was actually "well done", just look at the photo. I don't know if this ruined the meat or it wasn't of the quality it should be, we were disappointed by this dish also considering the cost (28 euros). We also had some nigiri, but found the rice rubbery and not very tasty, the salmon was also quite watery and tasteless. Other things were better, for example the maki was pleasant and particular. In general the food is not up to the prices of the dishes, you are definitely paying for the service and the environment. Excellent waiters and excellent wine, but we will gladly return for a good ramen and other more popular dishes, but certainly more suited to the possibilities of the kitchen. It's better not to include things on the menu that aren't offered up to the expectations they should have.

Nice location, unquestionably exceptional food accompanied by excellent wine. I have never eaten such good sushi in any other à la carte sushi restaurant in Genoa. Not to mention the service, really efficient. I recommend Broadside to anyone who wants to have a pleasant dinner, pampered between one quality nighiri and another.

I specify that the place is divided into Sushi and Ramen, my wife and I went to the ramen "sector", therefore Broadside Ramen. We took 3 starters: Takoyaki very good, katsu sando and Gyoza we weren't crazy about, but probably just for personal taste. 2 Ramen Shio (so to speak, the traditional one): compared to the last time we came, it was much less tasty, obviously still of high quality. 1 Misomisú: very particular reinterpretation of tiramisu, very good because the sweetness was broken by something more acidic (perhaps miso, dunno) and with a nice presentation. Optimal 1 bottle of water. Bear in mind that the service is impeccable. Total 54.00 euros. We will return, in the hope that the ramen is tastier. Anyway.... Recommended
