The Vatican is close at hand, but it is within the walls of this discreet restaurant that the miracle happens. Luca Maiolo offers a masterful, precise and tasty score. It's hard to believe that Michelin hasn't yet taken an interest in Taverna Angelica. The veal tongue with mirin is a delight to die for. Make the effort, push the door and let yourself embark. Well done and thank you!

Locale molto curato ed ottima cantina. Piatti ricercati, abbinamenti insoliti ben riusciti. Tutto squisito!!! Impiattamento ottimo. Gentilezza, cortesia e disponibilità. Musica di sottofondo bella e gradevole. CONSIGLIATISSIMO

Excellent place located near the Vatican. The dishes proposed are innovative, with authentic, particular and refined flavours, which, however, know how to bring back memories of the classic culinary tradition. Welcoming, attentive and prepared staff. Rich wine list. Advised!

An unforgettable moment...a great welcome from Francesco who speaks French, a nice setting, a very good cellar and...a cuisine worthy of a bistronomic one! A feast for the eyes and the palate. Very good value for money. I highly recommend after visiting the Vatican ❤️

I discovered this restaurant by chance and now I always come back with great pleasure, it's always a positive experience! The sommelier, Francesco, is very good and competent. He described each dish to us and advised us on the choice of wine. The food is excellent and the chef's combinations are truly brilliant, excellent quality raw materials! On this occasion we relied on a menu already drawn up, scheduled for March 29th, which once again confirmed the chef's skill, truly brilliant! My friend and I usually choose the "I trust Luca" route, a tasting menu that includes 8 courses at the chef's discretion. Everything was absolutely excellent, from the welcome entrée to the desserts! Taverna Angelica once again confirms itself as an excellent restaurant where you can spend a unique evening with an elegant atmosphere! Well done everyone! See you soon

On the occasion of the tasting menu of "traditional" dishes, I returned to this restaurant located in the Borgo Pio district and I must say that it was a pleasant confirmation. The dishes are truly excellent both for the sight but above all for the palate. The service is attentive and friendly. I will definitely return

Siamo tornati volentieri in occasione del rinnovamento del locale, che risulta più luminoso. Era previsto un menu: tutto veramente molto buono, come sempre, con accostamento di vini ottimi. Simpatiche le presentazioni dei piatti! Come detto anche lì, data la bontà dei piatti, avremmo gradito una forchettata in più di spaghettoni alle vongole e alghe e di baccalà e magari un po’ di vino da dessert, ma è stata una serata molto piacevole

Don't hesitate to pass through the door of this restaurant. We chose to trust Luca with a 6-course menu. Originality of combinations, perfect cooking, a delight from appetizers to sweet treats. But the pleasure wasn’t just on the plate. We were accompanied throughout the meal by a professional and passionate waiter/sommelier (this is becoming so rare that it must be emphasized) who enhanced each dish with his description in almost perfect French and who introduced us to a wonderful wine . Thank you for this beautiful romantic evening

We have been here in a group of 7. all of us with experience with haute cuisine. The restaurant offers fine dining experience to a reasonable price. In comparison to traditional Italian kitchen it is more expensive but you get special dishes in interesting combinations. However my dishes didn’t convince me- so only 4 stars. Service was good and also English speaking.

Il est incroyable (et même un peu scandaleux) qu'un tel établissement n'est pas déjà été primé par une étoile Michelin tant la cuisine y est inventive, raffinée et parfaitement maîtrisée... C'est notre deuxième passage, à un an d'intervalle, et nous n'avons pû y constater aucune fausse note. Tout y est parfait (le lieu, l'accueil, la carte et les conseils judicieux et parfois osés (mais réussis) du jeune sommelier) et invite à y retourner dès que possible car les menus changent à chaque saison... En résumé : une magnifique adresse proche du Vatican qu'il faut découvrir sans tarder !!

06/04/2024: Good night , I was in Rome and we went to life twice in my trip because we love it a lot the staff was amazing. The most important was that my family love it . Franchesco was super nice and gives you very good service and advise. And he is very honest and kind with you we love the restaurant . I recommend it.
29/03/2024: The fried squids, a perfect blend of crispy and tender, tantalized our taste buds, setting a high bar for the evening. Then came the fried truffle poached eggs, an exquisite melding of flavors that was both unexpected and delightful. The pasta, coated in just the right amount of sauce, was a masterclass in balance and taste, making each bite a joyous celebration of Italian culinary finesse. The side dishes were crafted with such attention to detail, enhancing the meal without overshadowing the main attractions. The dessert, a sweet symphony of flavors, was the perfect finale to an already outstanding meal. To complement our dining experience, the waiter recommended a white wine that were as thoughtful as they were flavorful, adding an extra layer of sophistication to our meal. The impeccable service, attentive yet unobtrusive, played a significant role in making our Roman holiday memorable. This restaurant didn't just serve food; it delivered an experience that will linger in our memories as a highlight of our Roman adventure.

05/04/2024: Incredible culinary experience. Moma offers a blend of classic Italian dishes with a creative take on ingredients. Chamomile risotto, beetroot rigatoni. Impressive wine cellar with a wide range of choice. Wonderful service. Strongly recommend for anyone who wants to experience Italian food with a twist!
18/02/2024: I was able to book a table at Moma in Rome - a Michelin Star restaurant that just looking at its menu warps your mind. For those of you who know the culinary geniuses of the world and those who don't, Moma’s founders are Gastone and Franco Pierini, two brothers who have always worked in the restaurant business. We started off with the amazing Tuna Crudo and Cuttlefish Tagliatelle. But before they came to the table, they served us with the most gorgeous appetizer bites you could ever imagine. I wish I could remember all the names and details. The lovely red one was duck liver pate if I recall correctly. Now on to the MAGNIFICENT mains: I had the Chamomile risotto, smoked eel, honey and origan - and the eel had this brilliant crisp on it that popped out in the middle of the risotto bites. Though we all shared, one got the traditional chitarrine “Gricia”, pecorino cheese, crispy pork cheek - and that crisp on the pork skin was such an amazing accent! The homemade lamb tortellinis were TO DIE FOR. Silky, decadent little bites you never wanted to end. We then moved on to the suckling pig belly, green peas and mustard jus, which again had the most fabulous crisped skin thins, the Beneventano beef ribs, sweet and sour shallots and cherries, which my son devoured but I did get to taste and flew up to the moon with it, and catch of the day, herbs bread, butter sauce, apples and celery, which my older son enjoyed quite a bit. Check out the sweets dish they served us up at the end! It disappeared within seconds even though we all thought we'll pass out. There's a reason it's a Michelin Star restaurant - you experience something unique and you talk about it for years and years - Great job and I hope to visit again!
