We have booked a Christmas lunch at this beautiful agriturismo and we were not disappointed. The location is amazing, very picturesque surroundings and stunning views. The property itself beautifully restored and well kept. But the main star of the show - the food, was absolutely fantastic. We were served a starter of salami, cheese and olive platter which were all made onsite and really delicious. Ravioli and lasagne was heavenly and full of flavour, not to mention the sausage and potatoes. Everything was just delicious and the service was great and friendly. It’s a must visit place.

Definitely the best agriturismo in the area. Food is delicious and the service is outstanding. If you’re really looking for the best food in Sicily this is the place to visit.

When we went to Sicily at the end of September and beginning of October, we stayed six nights in a country house, Agriturismo Tenuta Margitello, in the region of Ragusa. Mario, a farmer and hotelier, runs this together with his family and also takes care of the ranch. This is in the middle of the countryside, sheep, cows and poultry and all kinds of vegetable growing too. All around and on top of it all there are ruins from Roman times and Mario told us that every time he was going to turn around, he had to call the antiquities committee of the district. We stayed in spacious rooms with good beds and air conditioning and just about everything. The house we stayed in was 300 m away from the main house, but it has a good restaurant that offers the best ricotta cheese in the world, of course homemade. We had it warm every night as we ate dinner there. Namely, we chose to always eat there at home and only what was offered each time. We didn't have to choose anything, just sit at the tables and wait for authentic Sicilian home food. And of course good wine from the neighbourhood.
