Simple but delicious home-style food - you will want to order everything on the menu - and a wine list that will completely blow your mind. Amazing, warm service that reminded us of being welcomed home. Each dish on the menu was verbally translated and explained, after which we were guided through our order in the nicest, most generous way possible. The wine list is such that you can happily disappear into it for an afternoon, and you will anyway want to spend an eternity in what feels like the proprietors’ warm embrace. An absolute highest recommendation and very much worth the detour. (If you’re lucky enough to visit during truffle season, order the truffle pasta!!) Also they fill up, so make sure you call ahead to reserve (they don’t really speak English so get your Italian friend to call).

MODERATE YOUR EXPECTATIONS. I ate a decidedly mediocre sausage and leek pasta. I expected the mixed boiled meat from the trolley, given the ambitions, and instead a sad, dry dish arrives. With a separate jug with the broth to pour over. Precisely. I purchased a whole salami (€40/kg!!) and it turned out to be bagged with large air spaces and related oxidation. With Stefano it took us no more than 2 messages to decide the date and place, so, one week after the other, he and Giovanna never have to worry about a thousand other commitments, no ̀ 𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑖” , we had already been together and I was left with a great desire to go back. Upon entering I glanced at the corner of the orphaned bottles, I read "Nervi" and underneath "Conterno", the time to sit down and also to quench our thirst, in two seconds, we took the opportunity for a magnificent drink. The rest of the dinner was a triumph of "food", again to steal words from the site, where seasonality, traditional recipes, the territory and its flavors are the only things that count. After the tortelli, for me the fillet with cardoncelli, for Stefano 𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑑𝑢̀𝑟𝑎 and snails, for Giovanna again 𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑑𝑢̀𝑟𝑎 followed by the main roast, then everyone had their own dessert. Clear evening, not even a hint of fog, eaten like God, drank the same, I brought home salami, giardiniera and the vialone nano from Bondavalli as a gift from Stefano, the 🚓 police even stopped me on the way back, fortunately only to check driving license and registration 🙄 ... because I was sure I was OK with the bureaucracy 😎. I call it an experience. An unforgettable evening, with excellent dishes and above all excellent raw materials. I ate a touching cuccia and in general flavors that were clearly identifiable and linked to perfection. As for the wines, I should go on too long, truly the bottles and the host make the difference. We'll see you again very soon.

Bella osteria d'altri tempi, ripropone cucina classica ma rivisitata. Ottima cantina ben suggerita. Non ho dato 5 stelle anche all'ambiente perché la ristrutturazione non ha previsto bagno per disabili. Vale la pena andarci di tanto in tanto. Prezzi allineati alla qualità.

Servizio eccellente, ottima scelta di materie prime estrema competenza anche nei vini! Arredamento genuino con della storia, è una trattoria… divina così!

Ero di passaggio, provato x le buone recensioni. Ne è valsa davvero la pena. Sembra un'osteria di un tempo che fu', poi ti rendi conto che tutto è meticolosamente studiato ad hoc...non x nulla guida Michelin 2023. Il menù è un incrocio perfetto tra la tradizione e la novità, qualità dei prodotti top, porzioni ottimali, ottimo lambrusco, personale preparato e gentilissimo. Rapporto qualità /prezzo ci sta tutto. Una bellissima sorpresa e la prossima non sarà x caso. Bravi
